Fitness Magazine has named its top 20 celebrities who look good on camera and sweat hard off it.

A few of these icons happen to be athletes who’ve recently adopted vegan diet principles.

As if smoking weren’t a bad enough habit. It stinks, it’s linked to disease, it’s (gasp) not even vegan. And who would have thought–it involves animal testing!

Pamela Anderson is backing a move urged by PETA to not consider tests on animals that seek to determine the effects of tobacco products labeled “reduced risk.”

Michelle Obama has launched an online recipe contest for children, aged 8-12, to develop healthy meal ideas and earn a chance to sit as a guest of honor at a White House State Dinner.

Choosemyplate.gov is recommended as a resource for parents and children looking to create these healthier meal ideas and the site recognizes a vegetarian diet as one that “can meet all the recommendations for nutrients,” the key being to “consume a variety of foods and the right amount of foods to meet your calorie needs.”

Bobby Deen and Paula Deen

Son Bobby is showing the South the wonders of quinoa and even Paula Deen can create a meal without bacon and butter.

The recycled glass tumbler must be half-full.

Paula and Bobby went into the kitchen together for an episode of Paula’s Best Dishes and made things not all vegetarian, but did manage to produce a nice portobello mushroom sandwich.
