“It can be disheartening because I’ll be asked to do campaigns a lot. I’m so passionate that I’ll put everything into it. You see other campaigns where celebrities jump on board but animal rights issues is something where people feel they can’t really tread. It’s not even about being a vegetarian. It’s about having a bit of empathy for what these animals are going through. I do think celebrities could do more.”

Leona Lewis on her animal rights work. Lewis has volunteered her time, face and name to animal advocacy organizations such  as the World Society for the Protection of Animals, Cleveland Armory Black Beauty Ranch and Humane Society International.

    Music celebrities that are active for animal rights are Brian May, Paul McCartney, Chrissie Hynde, Boston’s Tom Scholz, Morrissey, Moby, Joan Jett and Jeff Beck. Leona Lewis too !
