First Lady Michelle Obama recently announced she would like to expand her Let’s Move! campaign to help provide fresher food to certain regions of the United States known as “food deserts.”
Food Deserts can be defined as areas or communities where people have difficulty accessing healthy and affordable food. The idea is to improve the selection at grocery stores and building up healthier options at smaller retailers that sell food, such as convenience stores.
