His story is proof of what diet can do for your health, as this former regular consumer of fast-food was urged by a physician to go on high-blood pressure medication before even graduating high school.

Sea Shephard may be best known for its work on ending whaling, but on June 8, Animal Planet with air a documentary that highlights the group’s work with another marine mammal.

“This is a different kind of mission, [with] Sea Shepard, being primarily land-based,” says Paul Watson of Sea Shepard in the trailer for the film Seal Wars, which focuses on the seal slaughter in Nambia.

Alicia Silverstone spoke with PopSugar on her new line of vegan, organic, natural cosmetics, Juice Beauty.

“You can get very overwhelmed with all the choices out there. You have these guidelines. You’re like “Okay, I don’t want to have anything unhealthy. And I don’t want this to hurt the planet. And I don’t want it to hurt animals. And I want it to be amazing.”

That’s not too much to ask for and apparently, Juice Beauty has fulfilled Silverstone’s desires, with cosmetics formulated without animal testing and harsh chemicals, packaged in eco-friendly recycled materials.

One of Britain’s popular comedians thinks eating animals is no laughing matter.

John Bishop has posed in a new ad for PETA UK that reads, “Chicks Love a Vegetarian.”

Bishop has been a vegetarian for over 25 years, a move that was motivated by both working in a fast-food restaurant and seeing a cow being slaughtered on a farm.

“The cow was hanging up looking at me as if to say ‘you did this’”.

Shaquille O’Neal has completed his doctorate degree in Education and is wasting no time utilizing his skills to inform the public on the endangered animals and habitats of Madagascar.

Shaq posed with a lemur at Zoo Miami, where he was accompanied by Mireya Mayor, an author and National Geographic explorer involved with lemur conservation.

Carrie Underwood was a guest on Oprah’s Next Chapter where she discussed how strict she is with her vegan diet.

Underwood’s meals at home are animal-free, but she will occasionally try a bite of something just vegetarian if she’s out with friends or family.

And it does depend on how bad she wants that cornbread.
