Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, September 12th, 2011 in Actresses, Food & Drink, Not So Vegetarian.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox is the latest celebrity to go vegan, get unhealthy and complain about it because she didn’t know how to follow the diet.

On a nicer note, the actress was able to stick to the regime for over a year.

We hope she’s at least still vegetarian.

Steve-O

Never mind the published data indicating eating red meat, processed meat and dead animal flesh in general significantly increases the risk of developing diabetes in men and women. Never mind the published data showing vegetarians are less likely to have diabetes as the cause of death than meat eaters.

The American Diabetes Association has responded to Steve-O boycotting its fundraiser event because meat was on the menu, basically saying, “It’s cool. Meat’s not bad at all.”

Ginnifer Goodwin "VegNews"

When we first brought you the news of Ginnifer Goodwin turning her back on veganism, it wasn’t the worst day in the world, as she professed to use humane eggs and still appeared to be vegetarian.

However, after viewing the footage from her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, it appears the former VegNews cover girl–to put it in the words of a hit movie she starred in–is just not that into vegetarianism either.

Goodwin confessed to Kimmel to not just eating eggs, but animal flesh–meatloaf, burgers and salmon.

She may be doing some sort of “vegetarian in the home outside of the home screw it” move, as Goodwin told Kimmel “my house is humane. That makes me feel less hypocritical”

In 2009, she was the ambassador for turkeys. In 2011…we hope she won’t turn into a Gwyneth Paltrow during Thanksgiving.

The video of Ginnifer on Kimmel can be viewed below.

Glenn Beck

As you can probably guess from the title of this post, that’s not a veggie burger Glenn Beck is stuffing himself with.

During a trip to Israel, Beck ended his vegan diet with hamburgers and ice cream.

Although he originally adopted a standard vegan diet for health reasons, according to his post on glennbeck.com, it appears he also was trying to eat raw for a certain period of time.

Nina Dobrev Vegetarian FAIL In Seventeen Fitness

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, April 28th, 2011 in Actresses, Food & Drink, Not So Vegetarian.

Haven’t heard one of these stories in a few months, so here’s something to get angry about ’cause we know all vegetarians love hearing famous people talk about how the diet failed them.

Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev went vegetarian for a few months. Then she became weak, tired (yawn, how many times have you heard this line) and decided she needed beef.

Is this a face you trust for nutrition advice?

Bob Parons, CEO of the domain hosting company GoDaddy.com, was recently criticized for shooting an elephant (an unarmed one at that) during a trip to Zimbabwe.

Parsons has defended his actions, saying the elephants disturb the farmers’ crops and it was used to feed hungry people.

Wait, there’s more.

Just recently, Parsons told CNN that elephants are a “valuable source of protein.”

We can think of dozens of “valuable sources of protein” that don’t contribute to the extinction of an animal, like beans, nuts, grains, tofu, tempeh, seitan and veggie meats.

Thank  goodness this guy’s not contributing to the USDA food pyramid anytime soon.
