Quantcast Vegetarian StarJimmy Kimmel

Bill Clinton was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live when one of the most popular interview topics surrounding the former president came up.

Kimmel asked Clinton about his vegan diet and what he missed most about it.

“One of the few things I miss about this diet is I loved having hard cheese,” Clinton said.

“I liked hard cheddar cheese and Swiss cheese — I miss that.”

When asked what he missed more, hard cheese or being POTUS, Clinton responded with the obvious.

Ron Artest Jimmy Kimmel prank

Ron Artest has never hesitated to lend his face to helping animals, such as when he helped PETA urge pet owners to spay and neuter their 4-legged friends. So when Jimmy Kimmel decided play a joke on Artest by tricking him to do a PSA for a phony animal charity called “Critters United,” it was all too easy to get a few good laughs.

Of course Artest loves animals, but even the greatest animal lover in the world might be a little uneasy working with the unusual co-stars of the PSA, which include a python, a large bird, a possum and even a, ahem, “bear.”

Watch the video below for four minutes of hilarity.

Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live where he discussed his latest film, The Hangover 2 and being vegan.

Tyson was partially motivated to go vegan because there is a history of obesity in his family. He also didn’t want his children to grow up unhealthy and wanted to set a good example.

Paula Deen “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Cooks Non Pet Chickens (Video)

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 in Chefs, Not So Vegetarian, Videos.

Paula Deen was on Jimmy Kimmel last night demonstrating how to cook fried chicken.

A chicken that wasn’t her friend.

You see, Paula is an activist of some sort.

She has pet chickens that she calls “rescue chickens,” formerly sentinel chickens used to monitor diseases transmitted by mosquitoes.

She would never eat her pet chickens and said she loves opening her home to animals.

“I love anything with heartbeat to come into my house y’all,” Paula said while cooking the dead chicken.

“Okay. And now we’re going to fry something with a hearbeat,” Kimmel said.

“I don’t know them, and I don’t have a relationship with them. I’ve never scratched their ears,” Paula said in regards to the dead chickens.

Pet chickens= no food. Chickens you haven’t formerly introduced yourself to and scratched ears= fried chicken.

Sounds like Paula has a serious case of moral schizophrenia.

Jimmy Kimmel Says Tasty Animals Prevent Vegetarianism (Video)

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 in Not So Vegetarian, TV Hosts, Videos.

Jimmy Kimmel told Ginnifer Goodwin he’s considered going vegetarian, but there’s something about a roast that prevents him from doing so.

“I thought about it. I tried to run it through my head that maybe it’s not a good idea. But then they come out so delicious,” he said.

Ugh!

Horrible humor even for a late night talk show.

But Ginnifer offers some support, explaining the call of meatballs sounds just as sweet as it did years ago.

“I told everybody I did not stop eating animals because I did not like the taste,” Ginnifer said.

Luckily, there’s a solution to both of their problems.

Faux meat! Faux meat! Faux meat!

Ginnifer Goodwin Left Memphis For Turkey Ambassador Job

Calvin Klein Collection & LAND's 1st Annual Celebration For ALAC

Ginnifer Goodwin appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live where she discussed how her diet is a lot different from what she ate growing up.

Goodwin said she used to work in a barbecue restaurant in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee and although she can still remember the smell, something she nicknamed “Eau de Memphis,” these days she prefers barbecue sauce on tofu instead of ribs.

Kimmel joked that was the reason Goodwin had to leave Memphis.

Of course, any Memphis vegetarian knows there’s no shortage of good tasting meatless food in the south!

Goodwin starred in Farm Sanctuary’s Adopt-A-Turkey PSA and told Kimmel she was the  Turkey Ambassatrist.

Sounds like an exciting job to have!

Jimmy Kimmel hosted Lost producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, to talk about the premier of Lost.

Kimmel played a game of fate or coincidence when discussing scenes from the show.

Was the lasagna meal on the plane planned or coincidence?

“We actually spent a month working on that meal and it came to lasagna,” Cuse said.

“And we will tell you it is a vegetarian lasagna,” Lindelof added.

Is it planned or coincidence that Jack is nervous about flying?

Sarah Silverman Marie Claire November ’09- Vegetarian Motivations

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009 in Actresses, Comedians, Food & Drink.

Comedy Central Emmy After Party

After speculation and gathering evidence, the answer to Sarah Silverman‘s vegetarian status is finally revealed!

The funny gal thinks eating meat is anything but humorous.

Silverman has revealed in the November 2009 issue of Marie Claire what made her turn vegetarian:

“When I was 9 or 10 years old, my dad took me over to a neighboring farm to help get stuff for the meal. The farmer, Vic, told me to look at all the turkeys and pick one out. I saw a cute one with a silly walk and cried, ‘Him!’ Before my pointing finger had even dropped to my side, Vic had grabbed the turkey by the neck and slit [the animal’s] throat. Blood and feathers went flying. I had sentenced that turkey to death! Up until then, I didn’t know where meat came from—and I’ve been a vegetarian ever since.”

There’s an old saying that behind every good man is a good woman. Sarah’s boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel has given the props to animal welfare and vegetarianism on his show before.

Will we soon see a meatless Jimmy?
