Jimmy Kimmel Does The Raunchy Tofu On Late Night Television

7th Annual TV Land Awards - Show

More evidence that Jimmy Kimmel has love for veggies. Or at least the X-rated ones.

On a recent episode, he featured the story of a woman in Colorado who wanted to profess her love for tofu on her license plate, but the DMV’s dirty mind stopped her.

Vegdaily.com wrote up the story about Kelley Coffman-Lee wanting a license plate that read ILVTOFU, along with a video CNN did on the news.

Us clean minded folks know there’s nothing more to that than, “I love tofu.”

But the pervs at the DMV claim it violates their policies on naughty license plates and the plate could be interpreted by someone else as “I love to…” you fill in the blank.

Kimmel brought a prop version of the plate on stage and kept the audience in stitches as he continued to ask members of his crew why they thought the license plate was rejected. Apparently, Kimmel’s crew thinks clean thoughts too as they appeared completely dazed and confused, unable to see the hidden meaning in an innocent profession for soybean love.

As if we really believe that one…

Come out of the veg closet already, Jimmy. You know you love tofu too.

You can watch the clip of Jimmy and the X rated tofu license plate.

Sarah Silverman Eats Only Veggie Meatballs?

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 in Actresses, Comedians, Food & Drink.

Kevin And Beans April FoolishnessWhen we heard Sarah Silverman left the meatballs off her spaghetti, we cheered even though we didn’t think she was a vegetarian.

Now, some gossip has come in that Sarah has said she doesn’t eat meat and was instructing others how to heat up veggie meatballs.

A reader named Anon left us this tip:

“Sarah’s a vegetarian. She was on cam (on her twitter account) with her friend Steve Agee and confirmed she doesn’t eat meat.”

“Oh, this was while giving a cooking demonstration on how to heat veggie meatballs your mum makes for you, in the microwave.”

She must be rubbing her good food karma on Jimmy Kimmel (we think they’re together, you never know), seeing as he’s been totally putting down pork and other meat eating on his show recently.

We searched Sarah’s Twitter and found some mentioning of Steve Agee and a video channel, but haven’t found the broadcast yet, so we’ll treat this as gossip.

But we’ve got a feeling the news is coming out soon!

Jimmy Kimmel Disses Pork: Living Veggie Life On The Down Low?

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, May 13th, 2009 in TV Hosts, Videos.

2008 American Music Awards Nominations AnnouncedThere’s something sexy about a man who dates a woman who orders spaghetti without the meatballs. Just wish we could have know what he ate that night, but it probably wasn’t pork.

Jimmy Kimmel recently gave pork the thumbs down in the New York Times, citing the association with meat and diseases.

“The government does not want us to call it the swine flu. They’re calling it the 2009 H1N1 virus. The reason for the change is they want people to know you can still eat all the pork you want without any risk to your health, except diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.”

Ouch! Jimmy telling it like it is!

He’s not known for being a vegetarian yet, but could this talk show host who has an on/off relationship with Sarah Silverman more than some flexitarians give up then eat meat again be heading in that direction?

According to Ecorazzi.com, Kimmel has ran a couple of humorous videos that the Meat industry might record in response to vegetarian PSAs, like this one below.

We think Jimmy has to at least be doing some part time veggie lovin’!

2009 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Graydon Carter - Arrivals

Funny woman Sarah Silverman was spotted having a vegetarian spaghetti meal at LA’s II Sole.

Just goes to show you don’t have to be a vegetarian to leave the meatballs off!

Besides, Sarah had all the beef hunk she could handle as her man Jimmy Kimmel accompanied her that evening, along with TWO ADDITIONAL MALE FRIENDS.

Geez, Sarah, you’ve got dates on standby. Maybe it’s in case Jimmy gets food poisoning during the evening.

Eliza Dushku Eats What She Kills: Can Most People Fault Her?

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 in Actresses, Not So Vegetarian.

Kim Kardashian and Eliza Dushku shine at the Spike TV Video Game Awards

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Dollhouse” actress Eliza Dushku angered animal rights groups recently when she announced on the “Jimmy Kimball Show” she took an Elk hunting trip to Oklahoma.

“A lot of people eat meat…and I eat what I kill,” she said in defense when the audience reacted negatively.

PETA responded to her in a statement, “Slaying bloodthirsty vampires on Buffy is brave, but slaying innocent animals where they live and raise their families is cowardly and cruel.”

Plus, it’s more environmentally friendly to slay and eat the vampires on Buffy.

Most of us vegetarians would obviously cringe at Miss Vampire Slayer’s actions, but you can probably bet most people in Kimmel’s audience weren’t vegetarian. And even some vegetarians don’t have problems with the theory of only killing what you need to eat in the wild, as long as it’s done quick and humanely. It’s mass factory farming and its destruction of the environment they’ve got a beef (pun intended) with.

No, most of them drive (or hopefully at least walk sometime to reduce their carbon emissions) to the grocery store and pick up meat that originates from an animal that wasn’t allowed to roam freely, pumped with more steroids than a pro bodybuilder, and slaughtered in the most inhumane way possible.

If killing animals for food worked similarly to misdemeanors, Dushku’s actions are Class C while the majority of meat eaters carry Class A on their records. Hunting for your own food and preparing it, in all its natural blood and guts, makes it impossible for someone to detach themselves from the origin of their food, something most meat eaters have long been able to do.
