Alicia Silverstone

Alicia Silverstone frequently uses her website The Kind Life to discuss veganism and motherhood and she recently asked readers what they thought of a vegan breast milk sharing program for vegan mothers who are unable to breast feed on their own.

The actress was informed of one vegan woman who had underwent surgery and was unable to produce enough milk to nurse.

Writes Silverstone on The Kind Life:

“A lot of women unfortunately have a similar struggle, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be able to give their babies the most amazing start in life with clean, mean, glorious breast milk. It’s why I’m starting the Kind Mama Milk Share, a way for moms to connect with other moms in their area. If you have milk to share–post it! If you are in need of milk–post it! Think of all the babies we can help raise together!”

Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney turned 71 this month and if there’s anyone who should be dispensing advice on turning old gracefully, it’s the ex Beatles member and singer-songwriter.

He’s not exactly sure what’s kept him going so long, but his guesses aren’t too far off from what most men might say: food and women.

“I do do a bit of exercise but it’s not like heavy work out. I’m vegetarian, I don’t know, that might have something to do with it. So I feel pretty good in myself, I really don’t know if that’s to do with it.”

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 in Actresses.

Alyssa Milano Maxim

Alyssa Milano is 40 years young and looking hotter than ever on the cover of Maxim‘s July/August issue.

The former star of the wildly popular 80s sitcom Who’s the Boss and the current ABC series Mistresses discussed life growing up on the camera with the magazine and how it can affect child stars.

“That was an era when TV child actors just didn’t work after their show was over,” she said.

Eighties wonder teens may have completely opposite career ends today, but it’s interesting that Milano feels another child actress who’s continued with her success as much as she has just happens to also follow the same diet.
