Quantcast Vegetarian StarVivienne Westwood

Fashion star Vivienne Westwood has recorded a PSA just in time for World Water Day on March 22 to let people know they can help conserve one of Earth’s most valuable resources both in and out of the bathroom.

Shorter showers are great for saving water, but so is following a vegetarian diet.

“I am an eco-warrior,” says Westwood in the video.

“But I take long showers with a clean conscious because I’m vegetarian.”

Kate Moss looks a bit worse for wear as she leaves the Vivienne Westwood fashion show arm in arm with Mario Testino

Oh, dear.

What’s happened to Kate Moss?

The model who’s BFFs include ethical designer Stella McCartney was recently seen leaving a Vivienne Westwood fashion show in London.

Kate made the announcement she was giving meat-free Mondays a try and although she’s been called out for her fur loving ways in the past, Kate’s been spotted faking it before.

Take a look and decide for yourself.

Is Kate fur real?

Sure hope she’s faking it.

The vegan “must have” item list is here!

W Magazine has compiled a slideshow of accessories every vegan and animal lover should check off on their next shopping trip.

The Matt & Nat handbags like the one shown here are a favorite of Ellen DeGeneres and that darn veggie diva Jorja Fox even has several bags named after her!

Besides the handbag, there’s a vegan shoe by Elizabeth Olsen and Vivienne Westwood shoes made from sustainable plastic.

Our favorite guilty vegan accessory: Erin McKenna’s vegan sweets cookbook, containing many recipes used in her New York vegan bakery, Baby Cakes.

Uh-oh, did someone say vegan sweets? Dr. Ian Smith…help!

Pamela Anderson Signs Pact With The Leather Devil

Written by Vegetarian Star on Friday, November 21st, 2008 in Actresses, Fashion, Not So Vegetarian.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label - LFW Spring Summer 2009 - Runway

Pamela Anderson has been one of the most outspoken celebrities for vegetarianism and against animal cruelty. Therefore, it’s quite a surprise to learn she has singed a deal to be the face of fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

The designer has stopped using fur in her creations. However, she has a long way to go before she can call herself cruelty-free. Leather is still being used to dress the svelte models who walk her runway and the same fashion designs will make their way to the consumer, such as the fuchsia leather suit from the spring 2009 collection.

Some vegetarians have different standards when it comes to eating versus clothing, but since Pamela Anderson has been so pro-vegan, working with PETA, protesting against Kentucky Fried Chicken, and calling out a certain singer for the clothing she chose to wear, it’s not something you would expect from her.

She even has expressed a desire to design her own line of vegan shoes, after finding out one of her favorite kind, Ugg boots, contain sheepskin.

Is it possible she just doesn’t know?

Shortly after she began taping “Big Brother” in Australia, it was revealed that KFC, a company she protested against so heavily, was a sponsor for the show. Pammie claimed to know nothing of it. Or did she?

Money sometimes makes you forgetful. The Vivienne Westwood deal is worth six figures. Still, other vegetarian stars don’t have problems with dementia. Leona Lewis turned down over a million to avoid being associated with a store that sold fur.

Thanks: Deceiver
