Snoop Lion has been known to rap and sing about, ahem, “plants,” so it’s no surprised he made a special visit to a British man who has broke his own Guinness World Record for growing the largest swede.

Seventy-year old Ian Neale grew a 95.96 pound swede, one that is 10.4 pounds heavier than his previous record.

Snoop Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dogg, had corresponded with the gardener earlier, offering some tips of his own.

“When I do my show in Cardiff, I want you to come backstage and see me because I do vegetation myself, and I want to know your secret so I can show you my vegetables and see if you can grow that into a real big vegetable.”

Neale said: “When Snoop Dogg rang me I didn’t say a lot because I was surprised to hear from him.”

“But he congratulated me – it was a bit weird. He told me his own veg was growing very well.”

Snoop has expressed interest in going vegan, but admits he finds it hard to give up pork. This gardening great in the UK may be a difficult convert as well, but for other reasons.

“I don’t think there are enough minerals in them,” Neale said in response to going vegetarian.

Not unless he takes a liking to growing soybeans.
