Heather Mills’ Veggie Shrimp Turned Boyfriend Jamie Walker Vegan

Heather Mills Speaks At Viva! The Incredible Veggie Show
Guess Elsa Maneiro didn’t know what she was talking about when she predicted Heather Mills’ boyfriend,  Jamie Walker, would never go vegan.

Walker is reportedly vegan, thanks to Heather trying out her magical food goodies on him, including a vegan shrimp she claims to have developed.

“You can’t even snog a meat eater,” Mills said, according to splashnewsonline.celebuzz.com.

“It took three months to get my boyfriend vegan. He’s a big, muscly guy so it’s quite easy to convert people.”

Heather has recently launched her vegan food range, Mighty Meatless Meals in Minutes, so it’s safe to assume Walker was a guinea pig in developing the entrees.

Ah, she makes it sound so easy. Have you tried to convert your significant other or any other close friend or relative to vegetarianism or veganism? What was the result?

Bootleg Erin McKenna’s Baby Cakes Frosting Shots

Erin McKenna whips up delicious vegan, gluten-free, and sugar free cupcakes and other baked goodies at her Baby Cakes bakery in New York city. Her establishment has been praised by several celebrities, including Lake Bell, Natalie Portman, Pamela Anderson, and Zoey Deschanel

Apparently the cupcakes aren’t the only reason the customers come in as the frosting is like tequila at happy hour.

According to a recent interview with the Telegraph, “The frosting is so addictive that it has developed a fan base all of its own. Some people just come in for a $1.50 frosting shot that they can knock back like a tequila or a 12oz take-out tub to devour at home.”

What exactly is this inebriating frosting made of?

“Soy milk, soy powder, coconut flour, coconut oil and agave, this is naturally coloured (with a dash of turmeric to make yellow, blueberry juice to make purple, raspberry or beetroot to make pink, and chlorophyll to make green.”

Erin’s cookbook is scheduled to debut next month so you can bootleg your own vegan frosting shots.

Susan Boyle Makeover Includes Going Vegan?

Susan Boyle became an overnight superstar after appearing on the UK competition show, Britain’s Got Talent.

Looking what some called plain and homely on the outside, Susan stunned every audience member with her majestic singing voice. To get the experience the Brits got that evening, watch the video.

As soon as a star is born, she’s bombarded by people looking to make her over, and Susan is no exception. The photos above show what the Chicago Tribune published as an example of what Susan can do with her outward appearance.

The LA Times blog got wind of this and said no way! Leave Susan the way she is.

“Don’t put Susan on a portion-controlled vegan diet, send her to spinning classes and celebrity fitness Boot Camps and give her veneers, a faux tan, a personal trainer, a makeup artist and a personal stylist.”

“And no expensive Sally Hershberger highlights and haircuts, please!”

At the Veg Star, we’re all about be yourself, but we have to disagree with one thing: Let Susan be vegan!

“People say I manipulate the media. Well, duh. We live in a media culture so why on earth wouldn’t I? What we do is provide the media with the kind of stories they can’t resist, even if they really try, and this is how we bring attention to what’s happening to the whales, the seals, the sharks and the other marine conservation campaigns we’re involved in. The oceans are dying in our lifetime and it’s not for want of laws and regulations. The problem is enforcement. Governments are not enforcing the laws, so we have to.”

V Festival In Hylands Park
You know he’s never down with burnt flesh at his concerts.

Morrissey recently stopped in the middle of “Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others,” during a concert because he couldn’t stand the smell of meat cooking in the venue at the recent Coachella festival.

Guess his earlier attempts to have it banned like Chrissie Hynde does didn’t work out too well.

After he got a whiff of burgers coming from a nearby stand, Morrissey stated, “I can smell burning flesh and I hope to God it’s human.”

When he returned to the stage, he said, “The smell of burning animals is making me sick. I just couldn’t bear it.”

We hear ya man.

He then completed the rest of his set, including his newest song, “I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris.”

Have you ever left a celebration or event because it smelled too meaty? Chime in and let everyone know!

PETA Defends Steakhouse Strippin’ Pamela Anderson

Written by Vegetarian Star on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 in Actresses, Not So Vegetarian.

Pamela Anderson at the Millionaire Fair in Amsterdam

The veg gal Pamela Anderson recently agreed to launch the opening of a strip club. A strip club located in a steakhouse.

While we feel this isn’t the best example a vegetarian should be setting, PETA is defending one of its biggest partners in meatless crime. A statement from the organization:

“Pam is not a host but may be attending as an invited guest, and since steakhouses nowadays have some of the best salad bars and veggie options around, we’re sure she’ll find plenty to eat should she attend.”

Well, sure, a steakhouse always has some vegetables. That’s why they call it “meat and potatoes.”

If she really wants to do some promoting, she’ll champion for a veggie burger on the steakhouse menu.
