Nothing like morning after regret.

After deciding to eat organic, Philadelphia Phillies slugger Ryan Howard, who was baseball’s Rookie of the year in 2005 and MVP in 2006, lost 20 pounds!

When he slips up and eats terrible, he admits it’s not worth it afterwards.

“When you’re on that regular cycle of eating well…you go off and you get a burger and fries or whatever, you feel terrible…You feel, “Why did I just do that?”

Of course, if Howard’s got a craving for a burger every now and then, might we suggest any numerous veggie burgers available? Meat-free, cruelty-free, and no buyer’s remorse.

And it would be so easy to do, considering the Philadelphia Phillies have one of the most veggie friendly ballparks.

It’s the perfect next step in being healthy, Ryan. And you could join the ranks of dozens of other professional athletes who keep pork off the fork.

Howard visited the White House garden recently when he revealed he’d been ogling organic for some time.

Alicia Silverstone is just one of the celebrities that have written to Nobu restaurants, saying they can no longer dine at the establishment because Nobu continues to serve endangered bluefin tuna.

Jemima Khan, Laura Bailey, Charlize Theron, Zac Goldsmith, Sting and Trudie Styler have all added their signatures to the letter.

“The possibility that the magnificent bluefin tuna, one of the fastest creatures on the planet, could be extinct in as little as four years is a tragedy. Continuing to serve bluefin leaves Nobu vulnerable to public criticism and lagging behind Moshi Moshi, Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Itsu and numerous others,” they wrote.

If Gordon Ramsay has stopped serving it in his restaurants, you know Nobu’s got to be living in the dark ages in terms of ethical eating.

The celebrities are asking that bluefin tuna be removed completely from Nobu’s menu.

A spokesperson for Nobu made this statement:

“The consumption of this fish is a cultural institution in Japan and there is still an enormous demand for this delicacy at all our restaurants. In the specific case of the menus at our London restaurants it should be noted that the statement that informs diners that the tuna served is Bluefin was included at the behest of Greenpeace, with whom we have continual dialogue. We are also currently looking at Australian farm-raised tuna as an alternative.”

Replacing one endangered fish with another one that will, ultimately, become threatened if people continue to consume it. Sounds fishy.

How about getting the smell out completely and taking all fish off the menu?

Yay for Fido, Fluffy, and Max!

Heather didn’t give any specifics when she replied to one of her followers on Twitter, just that a brand was in the works.

A vegan restaurant opening next month, frozen food products to come, and veggie dog chow in the creative draft phase. Could Heather be on her way to having her own vegan empire?

Several veg celebrities have vegan dogs, including Alicia Silverstone, Paul McCartney, and Bollywood babe Shahid Kapoor

Alicia Silverstone claims her dogs pass less gas because of their vegan diet, which some pet owners believe is the only way to go. If they won’t let an animal suffer for their own food, why should it be any different for their canine friends?

Premiere Of International Film Circuits The Hammer - Arrivals

Don’t you hate it when you’re a vegan and you’re forced to eat rat’s tail in an eating contest on some reality TV show? It’s a bummer!

Episode one of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here featured John Salley in an eating competition with Heidi Montag. The treat? Delicious rat tail. Salley swallowed ratatouille booty whole, while Heidi was ladylike and nibbled.

Could the menu on episode one, be the reason Heidi quit?

John Salley, the artist formerly known as vegan, had told several media sources he planned to eat raw and vegan while in the Costa Rica jungle. Rat tail’s raw alright, but definitely not vegan. Unless there’s some fake rodent meat substitute Whole Foods isn’t stocking at the moment.

Episode one and Salley is already breaking his veganness. What do you guys think about the situation? Did Salley naively think he could only eat vegan on the show?
