Lauren Bush has been enjoying her time at the London Olympic Games.

This vegetarian, entrepreneur and fashion designer best known for her signature FEED bags that help feed the hungry worldwide, had no problem finding a trendy restaurant in the area to satisfy her appetite.

Bush dined at NOPI, a restaurant from renown chef and cookbook author Yotam Ottolenghi and later Tweeted about the experience, recommending Ottolenghi’s cookbook for similar eating.

An episode of What Not To Wear had a young vegan get a wardrobe makeover without breaking her principles of being cruelty-free.

The show was a re-run from a 2009 original airing featuring Sunny, who was nominated by her fiance because he thought she might show up to the wedding in a pair of wings.

Hey, at least those would have been fur-free wings.

Russell Simmons is turning his passion for the spiritual and yoga into a money-making opportunity.

The longtime vegan has announced he’s created a yoga brand, Tantris. Photos of Tantris logo are posted to his hip-hop news site, Global Grind, which reports Tantris will include, “womenswear, menswear, yoga mats, pillows, meditation beads and scented candles.”

Yogis will be able to find Tantris items at department stores, health clubs, specialty stores, and spas.

One of the biggest makers of sneakers and other casual footwear, PUMA, has implemented Meatless Mondays at the company and is moving toward the direction of using non-leather materials in its products.

Jochem Zeitz, executive chair of PUMA SE who introduced vegetarians items in the office canteens said he has reduced his meat consumption by 80% over the years. Now he’s looking to lighten PUMA’s footprint by creating fashionable shoes that look good on both people and the environment.

“It may sound crazy, but maybe there’s an economic way of producing a leather-like product in the laboratory,” Zeitz said.

Cornelia Guest has published a cookbook, Cornelia Guest’s Simple Pleasures: Healthy Seasonal Cooking and Easy Entertaining. Lauren Bush celebrated the 5th anniversary of the company she co-founded, FEED Projects, at the Clarins Million Meals Concert in New York’s Lincoln Center. Guests included performers like John Legend and a special appearance by former president of the United States Bill Clinton.

The event raised money for food provided to school children in need.
