Kathy Freston Visits “The Talk” With Vegan Superfoods (Video)

Kathy Freston visited the set of The Talk to share with fellow vegetarian Sara Gilbert and other hosts some of her ideas for incorporating vegan foods into a diet.

Warning: If you haven’t eaten in awhile, Freston’s demonstration of substituting vegan cheese for dairy using a freshly baked vegan pizza may send you straight to the kitchen before finishing the video.

Mike Tyson has surpassed his four year vegan anniversary and the relationship between him, lentils and grains couldn’t be stronger.

Although he’s admitted in the past to missing some of his favorite candy bars, Tyson told a reporter in a recent interview, he’s not even considering letting his lips touch another…product that’s animal-based.

Craig Ferguson Comedian Has Vegetarian Compromise Plan (Video)

Craig Ferguson hosted Minnesota comedian Bryan Miller who took the opportunity to make a few jokes about the vegetarian lifestyle. Miller’s wife is vegetarian. He is not. Cue the outrageous stories.

Vegetarians who live with/have close relationships with carnivores should consider Miller’s plan to open a “vegetarian compromise restaurant.”

“We’re still going to serve meat,” Miller said. “But only the parts the animals can afford to live without.”

Although he is still allowed to cook meat at home, Miller says wife insists they shop at the local co-op, paving the way for jokes about the price of goods that come with labels like fair trade.

Chelsea Handler–Horse-Drawn Carriage Car Alternative Better Than Vibrator

Chelsea Handler has written a letter to New York mayor Bloomberg asking that he back a plan by the group NYCLASS to take horse-drawn carriages off the city’s streets and replace them with eco-friendly electric hybrid cars.

Not only will these cars save horses from working in unfavorable weather conditions like snow, ice and rain, according to Chelsea, the vehicles last so long after a charge, they work better than her vibrator.

Maybe not, but former General Motors vice chairman Bob Lutz put the satirical talk show host to shame when they went head to head, leaving Colbert red-faced and out of breath and Lutz as steady as a sedan on cruise control.

Ian Somerhalder

Ian Somerhalder is taking a bite out of animal neglect and troubled children. The Vampire Diaries actor is building a sanctuary for both animals and children with behavioral issues on a farm he plans to buy in Louisiana.

Somerhalder, a recent recipient of the Humane Society’s Wyler Award, said the sanctuary will not only house animals, but employ children who’ve been accused of bullying to work with and care for the animals, hopefully leading to a change in behavior for both human and non-human.
