Kim O’Donnel, blogger at TrueSlant.com, who has written for the Huffington Post, Washington Post and Real Simple, has written a cookbook, The Meat Lover’s Meatless Cookbook: Vegetarian Recipes Carnivores Will Devour.

The book is meant to serve as an aide for those interested in implementing Meatless Mondays, as it contains 52 recipes which may be prepared over the course of an entire year to gradually acquaint the carnivore with vegetarian cuisine.

O’Donnel recently released a video about the book, where she asks, “Do you have a Mr. Sausage in your life? Or maybe you’re Mr. Sausage. Mr. Sausage is that person who cannot imagine not eating some kind of meat.”

Mr. Sausage, meet the Meat Lover’s Meatless Cookbook. We’re sure this is a relationship that will last longer than those hotdogs infused with preserving nitrates.

The cookbook is scheduled for release from Da Capo Lifelong Books in September.

The kind folks at Peta recently asked their supporters to vote for their “sexiest Vegetarian celebrity” and today I learned I won that title, along with a dude who disproves the silly lie that Vegans cant be strong: Biggest Loser trainer, Bob Harper. I am really honored, and very inspired to continue living the vegan lifestyle that has been so good to my body, my animal friends, and the world we live in. So thank you, PETA, and thanks to all who voted for me!”

Now that Wilde holds the title of PETA’s sexiest female, she can now boast to her husband she’s royalty too.

Roger Ebert

Roger Ebert has written a cookbook dedicated to rice cookers, The Pot and How to Use It. The Mystery and Romance of the Rice Cooker, which is scheduled for release in September.

Anna Thomas, author of vegetarian cookbooks like “The Vegetarian Epicure,” and “Love Soup,” has written an introduction to the book.

Inside, The Pot, is promised to be filled with Ebert’s favorite recipes, which sound as if they can at least be made vegetarian, for chili, risotto and Ebert’s favorite–oatmeal. The longtime film critic has named the rice cooker as one of his favorite kitchen appliances and he told the AP one could eat for week using it to cook several meals a day.
