Roger Ebert has written a cookbook dedicated to rice cookers, The Pot and How to Use It. The Mystery and Romance of the Rice Cooker, which is scheduled for release in September.
Anna Thomas, author of vegetarian cookbooks like “The Vegetarian Epicure,” and “Love Soup,” has written an introduction to the book.
Inside, The Pot, is promised to be filled with Ebert’s favorite recipes, which sound as if they can at least be made vegetarian, for chili, risotto and Ebert’s favorite–oatmeal. The longtime film critic has named the rice cooker as one of his favorite kitchen appliances and he told the AP one could eat for week using it to cook several meals a day.
