Quantcast Vegetarian StarBreast Cancer Awareness Month

Like many men, Steve-O has an interest in breasts.

He recently told Vanity Fair how he really feels about those pink ribbons going around during the month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness.

“Let me tell you how I feel about these pink ribbons. I was watching the N.F.L. last week, and all the players were wearing pink. I don’t think they did anything to educate people about cancer prevention. I don’t think a pink ribbon does anything. What people need to know is that it’s the atrocious diet of Americans that’s responsible for all your cancer, all your heart disease, all your diabetes.”

Tony Gonzalez‘s nutritional supplement company, which includes a vegan protein powder, All-Pro-Science, is helping to fight breast cancer during the month of October, which happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Throughout the month of October, All-Pro-Science will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. each time a customer uses the code “PINK” during checkout. Using the code will also allow customers to get a 20% discount off their purchases.

“With the month of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted APS to give back to a foundation that is helping our mothers, sisters, grandmas, etc. out there fight this horrible disease,” said Tony Gonzalez, co-founder of All Pro Science, Inc. “I encourage everyone to use the code PINK when they purchase so that we can make a big impact and help support the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission of saving lives through early detection.”

Stand Up To Cancer - Arrivals

It’s October and that means Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Fitsugar.com has compiled a slideshow of 10 celebrity breast cancer survivors, and two of the ladies are vegetarian favorites, Melissa Etheridge and Christina Applegate.

Doctors found a lump in Melissa’s breast in 2004 and she sought chemo and radiation treatment, performing bald at a Janis Joplin tribute in 2005.

After Christina Applegate’s breast cancer was detected, she decided to remove both breasts and treated herself to a brand new pair of manufactured boobs after her surgeries.

As we’ve cited before, vegetarians tend to have lower death rates from cancer than meat eaters.

Rock A Little, Feed Alot Benefit Concert - Arrivals

Christina Applegate visited Kansas City in the Power & Light district, in celebration of Lee Jeans’ National Denim Day, the company’s biggest all day fundraiser for breast cancer.

Applegate, a breast cancer survivor herself, helped unfurl a check with 10 other survivors she called her “sisters in boobs” for $4.5 million.

Kansas City is nicknamed “cowtown” and a reporter for kansascity.com asked the vegetarian Applegate if she could live in such a town that’s famous for barbecue and steaks.

“I don’t know. Probably. I’ve lived in a big city, I’ve lived in the mountains,” Applegate said.

Q: But you wouldn’t eat the cows.

A: I would love them and protect them.

Q:…So I guess we don’t appeal to you on those grounds (eating barbecue and steak).

A:Not necessarily on that front, but the people are very kind. And it looks like a nice little city. And I can play “Kansas City” on the guitar.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, btw. If you haven’t touched a tit yet, now’s a great time to get started.

“The Booby Scare” Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Video)

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 in Actresses, Nutrition-Health-Fitness, Videos.

Vegan Emily Deschanel, along with Alyson Hannigan, Kat McPhee, Minka Kelly, and Jaime King star in this breast cancer awareness video in celebration of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This is how celebrities have girls night in parties, so watch and take notes.

Full frontal shots of girl on girl boob grabbing and cleavage showing right before the paparazzi gets caught filming them.

Plus some great info on false alarms and what might not be breast cancer…like a rhinestone bra.

Incidentally, a vegetarian diet might give you more reason to grab your potentially lifelong cancer-free boobies.

Vegetarians have lower death rates from cancer, breast cancer rates are lower in countries where diets are plant-based, and when people from those countries adopt Western meat based diets, their breast cancer rates soar.
