Pamela Anderson Tells Queen Fur Bad For Sex Life

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, December 15th, 2008 in Actresses.

Pamela Anderson - Tutti Pazzi per la Tele

Ooh, Kid Rock’s gonna be steamed about this one.

Pamela Anderson wrote to Queen Beatrix in The Netherlands to talk about two issues that are near and dear to her heart: fur and sex.

The combination of the two words sounds rather kinky, but it’s nothing more than Pam’s animal side, er, animal rights side coming out.

“I’m thrilled to be visiting Holland this week not only because of the country’s charm but also because of its progressive outlook on two issues close to my heart: sex and animal rights. These topics overlap when it comes to fur: Nothing has less sex appeal than a fur coat.”

She goes on to ask that since Holland has already banned certain types of fur farms, why not go all the way and ban it all?

Read the rest of Pamela’s letter for suggestions on increasing sex appeal to the Queen.

Paul McCartney On Dalai Lama Doctors: They’re Just Wrong!

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, December 15th, 2008 in Male Musicians, Male Singers.

Celebs at Stella McCartney Fashion Show - Paris

Mere regular celebrities may fall prey to the medical industry telling them meat is necessary for health, but His Holiness?

The Dalai Lama was vegetarian once, but on the advice of doctors, decided to start eating meat. He has been criticized for this by some, including Paul McCartney.

In Prospect Magazine, Paul reveals he wrote to His Holiness after the Dalai Lama stated, “As Buddhists we believe in not causing any suffering to any sentient beings.”

Paul replied to this by saying, “Forgive me for pointing this out, but if you eat animals then there is some suffering somewhere along the line.”

It was then revealed by the Dalai Lama that he was simply following doctors’ orders.

“He replied saying that his doctors had told him he needed it, so I wrote back saying they were wrong.”

Katy Perry Wants To Be Vegetarian That Kissed A Girl

Z100's Jingle Ball 2008 - Press Room

Katy Perry attended the Z100 Jingle Ball in Madison Square Garden in New York City where she announced what she wanted her New Year’s resolution to be:

“I try to want to be a vegetarian cause I know it would be more of a healthier option for me. But I love chicken. I think I am just gonna try and be a healthier person and ya know think about my family more.”

It’s great for Katy to think about her family more, but does this gal who’s One Of The Boys know she can do both, even if she likes chicken?

Someone’s gotta inform Katy about Boca breaded Chik’n Patties or Lightlife’s Smart Strips Chik’n Style Strips. If she’s looking for something a little more titillating, Quorn’s Naked Chik’n Cutlets make a meal sound even more exciting than kissing a girl or boy!

PETA’s been known to send fake meat to celebrities in dire need of it. Maybe they’ll put Miss Perry on their not so secret Santa list this holiday.

Bijou Phillips Smoking, Contemplating Steak: So Healthy Now

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, December 15th, 2008 in Actresses, Not So Vegetarian.

Grand Opening Of SLS Hotel

Actress Bijou Phillips who’s had roles in films such as Hostel II and Choke recently told the Los Angeles Times that she’s stop being vegan and started smoking again-now she feels healthier than ever.

“I’ve been on a vegan diet for six months and this morning I had eggs Benedict,” she said. “My body was like, ‘What happened? Did we just recover from a famine?'”

“It’s fine now! I’m eating. I’m smoking and eating regular food, so I should be OK.”

Okaaaay.

Phillips claims she got sick a lot when she was vegan and that she rarely got sick before trying to the diet. Of course, she didn’t go into detail into what she was eating while vegan. A severely reduced caloric diet that doesn’t include different types of food can make anyone sick. Perhaps she should have educated herself a little before deciding a vegan only meant to “cut” products from your diet versus “adding” others.

She said she was going to try Atkins because she had gained weight after quitting smoking.

So glad to know that everything’s fine now that Miss Phillips is smoking again. Everything will be even better once she chomps into a steak.

Pauly Shore Not Vegetarian, But Whole Ribs Too Hardcore

The Cinema Society Hosts Screening Of

What’s with the wiki and other sites lately? Yes, we know they’re not law, but really, there’s been some wacky incorrect facts floating around.

First, we learned that Clint Eastwood is not only NOT a vegan, but had to have the definition of one explained to him, which resulted in a look of horror resembling a pet that knows it’s going to be spayed or neutered.

Now, we’re learning that Pauly Shore, actor best known for hosting MTV shows, is one of the falsely accused as well.

An excerpt from a recent interview with Memphis Flyer:

I heard you were a vegetarian. Is that true?

No. I love steak once in a while, just very rarely. I need my protein. I’ve got to stock up, you know.

So are you going to munch on some Memphis barbecue while you’re here?

Oh, I don’t know. I’m kind of sketchy on barbecue right now. Like, the whole ribs and shit, it’s kind of hardcore.

Hmmm. Since Pauly says he eats steak every once in awhile, but “whole ribs and shit” is hardcore, maybe he’s a flexitarian?

Update Wikipedia, update everyone. And keep your computers on standby ’cause you’ll probably be updating again soon.

Something to make you laugh. George H.W. Bush (41st Pres and current Bush’s daddy) once said, “I do not like broccoli. And I haven’t liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I’m President of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli.” Speak for yourself, George, but this kitten knows what good! He’s a Purina Animal All-Star who loves his broccoli-and gets a little testy when you try to take it away from him.

Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Jude Law All Looking Lush These Days

Written by Vegetarian Star on Sunday, December 14th, 2008 in Actors, Actresses.

15th Annual Women In Hollywood Event - Inside

When a celebrity associates themselves with a cruelty-free product you can’t help but get excited, even if the star isn’t vegetarian.

Lush is a collection of handmade cosmetics that are never tested on animals, vegetarian, and some are even vegan. The UK company’s products have been used by stars such as Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, and Jude Law.

Yes, Jude Law. Cosmetics just aren’t for the gals, you know. Lush has shaving cream, plus all sorts of moisturizers an eco-friendly man needs. Because even though nicking yourself with a razor may hurt, the pain an animal feels in a cosmetic laboratory is far worse.

Lush cosmetics make a great stocking stuffer for holidays gifts this year. Be sure to send this link to friends and family so they’ll know exactly what you’re looking for.

Marla Maples Sticks To Mostly Vegetarian Diet, Excludes Dairy

Written by Vegetarian Star on Sunday, December 14th, 2008 in Actresses, Flexitarian, Food & Drink.

Marla Maples is one of those actresses that could play cougar like Demi Moore if she wanted to. Although she’s 45, she looks so hot she could tweak her birthdate and no one would bat an eyelash.

Donald Trump’s ex prefers to stay away from dairy, instead sipping on Ayurvedic teas. This flexitarian may make you a tad bit jealous. She doesn’t naturally crave healthy-she’s just finds it easy to fight to urge to eat junk.

“I have a lot of willpower,” she said.
