Chickpeas can be a vegetarian’s best friend.
The golden colored beans most commonly used in falafel provide a great source of protein and other nutrients and are a nice alternative to the traditional pinto and kidney beans served in many vegetarian dishes, such as beans and rice.
Yotam Ottolenghi has taken chickpeas and turned them into a dish suitable for breakfast–slow roasted hickpeas on toast with poached egg.

“It’s a luxury Vegan line that I started and it’s available on my website and fingertipfetish.com. The first collection is called “Made in NYC” and all the polishes are based off of different things in New York City. There’s “Queens Rope Chain” which is gold, there’s “Metro-Metallic” which is silver like the trains, “Hail a Cab” is yellow, “Lady Liberty” is like a mint green, “BX Bomber” is Yankee blue, we have black for the Nets which called “BK We Go Hard,” “El Barrio” is red for all my Latinas, and we have “Trendy Soho” which is a hot pink. So it’s all the places in New York City, very New York themed and that’s who I am. I was made in NYC and the first collection is called “Made in NYC.”

Mark Malkoff has pulled off a few crazy stunts as a comedian, like the time he aimed to visit over 100 Starbucks in the Manhattan area in a 24 hour period.
Malkoff once spent the week in an IKEA store, sleeping on the furniture and living off the food in the cafeteria.
As you may already know, IKEA isn’t known for its multitude of vegetarian options, and has even come under controversy for allegations it served meatballs with horsemeat.

Paul Schaffer, David Letterman‘s sidekick since the 80s on The Late Show with David Letterman, is starring in a new video produced by the Ad Council, the Humane Society of the United States and Maddie’s Fund in partnership with the Halo Pet Foundation.
October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. Schaffer promotes pet adoption by playing a few notes on the piano alongside a four-legged band member. He is later flanked by several dogs who also want to join the campaign.
“Everyone should have a shelter dog,” Schaeffer says.
