Scott Jurek

If you like cuisines of the world, that’s another reason why you should go vegetarian.

So many cultures outside of America tend to use less meat in their dishes and make grains, vegetables and fruits the center of the plate.

Vegan marathoner Scott Jurek realizes this, and is often caught searching for ethnic spots when he’s on the road.

“It’s mostly about searching out ethnic foods, particularly when I’m in airports. You can still survive. In restaurants, a lot of times they have beans in the salad bar. Sometimes you have to look off the menu. It becomes a bit of a challenge, but usually Mexican and Asian are good choices.”

Mexican and Asian aren’t the only choices for great veggie food, as ChooseVeg has listed several popular vegan cuisines that are Ethiopian, Mediterranean and Indian.

Carlin did something where he really made people aware of political issues and environmental issues while making people laugh at themselves. He was calling people out on their stupidity in a way that made them laugh about it. That’s a skill. I would like to get there. It doesn’t have to be environmental. I am vegan, so I would like to do some animal rights jokes, but it would be more about the suppression in society.I would like to somehow take those serious issues and make people laugh about it.”

Who says the vegetarians and vegans are self-righteous?

Forbes cites a survey among vegetarians and meat eaters that proves plant eaters are much more open to lip lock with a carnivore than vice versa.

The study, conducted by Today.com, polled 4,000 members of online dating site Match.com between the ages of 18 and 75 (yes, grandpa still gets the ladies) about what they’re looking for in a partner when it comes to diet.
