VH1 Save The Music Summer Kickoff with Colbie Caillat

Colbie Caillat can now share kisses with her guitarist Justin Kawika Young while traveling on the road.

According to Hollywoodlife, the two are now an official item and the singer admits her third album is pretty much a “I’m in love with Young” tribute.

“I have like 15 songs — they’re all pretty much about him — the falling in love stage and anything about him,” Caillat said.

That’s nice.

Even more interesting, though, is that Young is an aspiring vegetarian who may at least partly want to do so because of environment reasons.

You’ve heard of the hit Lady Gaga song “Bad Romance,” but have you ever been in a “Cat Romance” starring Lady Meow Meow?

This video with the San Francisco SPCA has Lady Meow Meow asking, “Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow. Want a cat romance?” and urging animal lovers to go adopt a cat.

The San Francisco SPCA not only takes in homeless cats and dogs, but educates the public about issues such as neutering and spaying to reduce the number of these animals.

Take a look at the adoption promo and compare it with Gaga’s below, which also features a cat around minute 2:38 and some creepy,  hopefully fake bear skin being dragged across the floor at minute 3:40.

“One of the bevy of beauties produced by the Twilight series, Serratos recently posed nude for PETA. Hey, Christian, did we ever tell you we love seitan?”

Last year’s number one Olivia Wilde, slid a few notches to #20, but Olivia Munn is also representing the veggie gals by placing in the top 10.

Other notables in the veg/animal community are Hayden Panettiere and Zooey Deschanel.

The entire gallery of Maxim’s hottest can be found here, and are also in the June 2010 edition of the magazine available on the stands.

Joan Jett took time to talk with gossip site PopEater in between passing out Vegetarian Starter Kits in NYC’s Union Square earlier this month.

The five foot five inches rocker looks toned and more sculpted than ever, but says the feeling she got from eating meat made her feel like a balloon.

“I didn’t feel good eating meat. It felt very heavy, like it never left my body,” Jett says in the video.

“Being on stage, I didn’t want to feel [that heavy feeling], so I stopped eating meat initially for that reason,” she continued, adding that eventually her concern for animals sealed the decision.

"I Like Food, Food Tastes Good"

"I Like Food, Food Tastes Good"

I Like Food, Food Taste Good is a collection of recipes from bands that features an entire chapter on vegetarian main courses.

In fact, from glancing at the table of contents, it looks like meatless recipes make up about a 1/4 of the book.

The Night Before Mac-and-Cheese, Tofu Pot Pie, Semi Raw Everyday Pasta, The Karate Kid and Uncle Kyle’s Avocado Tacos all sound tasty with an interesting story.

Death Cab For Cutie‘s Veggie Sausage with Peanut Butter sandwich is included in the mix.

Vegetarian music enthusiasts, this is something you’ll want to add to your collection.
