Quantcast Christian Serratos

Christian-Serratos

Twilight series actress Christian Serratos has recorded a PSA advocating alternatives to animal dissection in the classroom.

“Each year, more than 10 million animals are used for classroom dissection, including frogs, cats and fetal pigs,” Serratos says in the video below.

“These animals haven’t donated their bodies to science and they have the same ability to experience pain and fear as your companion animals at home.”

Scott Jurek and Christian Serratos may have something in common.

No, he doesn’t spend his days running with vampires and unlike Serratos’ character’s friends in the Twilight series, this guy is vegetarian because he really doesn’t eat animals, not just restraining himself from the occasional, enticing human he encounters on a jogging trail (we hear the ones who eat meat are the slowest, thus more likely to get eaten).

Seen here on the table next to chef Jurek is what looks very much like a bottle of Sriracha sauce, a Thai hot sauce Serratos loves to add a dash to vinegar and oil when making her own salad dressing.

Compare and say what you think.

The distinctive green cap and fiery red color makes it look as if we’ve made the right call.

Is this something Jurek uses to light a fire to his feet for those 24 hour running marathons?

Christian Serratos Salad Dressing Recipe With Sriracha Sauce

Star Magazine Celebrates Young Hollywood

Christian Serratos has a salad dressing recipe you should try tonight!

Judging from her description of the blend in the May/June 2010 issue of Vegetarian Times, the Twilight actress is not the measuring kind of veg cooking gal. But when it comes to spicy, taste is a subjective thing and you have to make your own adjustments.

“You can make your own salad dressing by mixing together some extra virgin olive oil with vinegar and a little sriracha hot chile sauce and a dash of pepper. It’s the best!”

Sriracha sauce is a Thai hot sauce made with chile peppers, vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt.

The sauce itself can go great on vegetarian sushi or pizza and may even be used as ketchup with a little extra kick on french fries.

Christian Serratos PETA "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" Ad

Christian Serratos has bared all in a PETA I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur ad in an effort to urge Twilight fans and everybody else to stay as far away from fur as the Cullens stay away from human flesh.

The 19 year old actress told PETA, “I’ve always been opposed to slaughtering, eating, wearing carcass. It’s just always seemed gross to me.”

Not to mention cruel.

According to PETA’s website, “Rabbits, foxes, minks, dogs, cats, chinchillas, and other animals are bludgeoned, strangled, drowned, poisoned, stomped to death, or electrocuted or have their necks broken all in the name of fashion.”

That’s a death worse than one by vampire.
