Lucy Clarkson formerly posed as a model for Lara Croft, a character known for raiding ancient tombs and ruins, but she’s not likely to raid the ancient caveman’s closet for his fur shawl.

Clarkson took the time to pose in nothing more than a painted on suit to protest the use of using real bear fur in the Queen’s guards’ hats.

A spokesperson from the Ministry of Defence has commented on the use of bear fur in the hats and on the possibility of using fake fur in the future.

Although Erin McKenna may run the very popular and successful BabyCakes Bakeries in New York and California, home to the vegan, gluten-free and mostly sugar free desserts, she didn’t always have the vegan dough to put out for buying all the ingredients when experimenting in the kitchen.

According to a recent story in LA Weekly, McKenna worked three jobs as a waitress, had no credit and no money to put down to purchase products while she formulating her recipes for the restaurant.

So if anyone is ever upset that a spelt or gluten free Red Velvet Cupcake costs $4.25, it’s not like she’s not feeling your pain.

The baker who’s treats were voted best by New York Magazine said, “People get upset because they think it’s really expensive,” adding that prices will come down once more people get on the healthy eating bandwagon.

Yes, we are all looking forward to the day when dairy-free, gluten-free muffins can be bought for $2 from the vending machine just like the ones that guy name Otis makes.

Who knows what the Transformers actress ordered, but Lucas has gone veggie since watching Earthlings, so she may have taken advantage of the cafe’s curried tofu.

Seen in more than one dish at the vegetarian friendly restaurant, including the curried tofu benedict with sesame seeds and spinach, or tossed into the vegan wrap with hummus, grilled portabello mushroom, arugula, cucumber, tomato, radish and avocado in a spinach tortilla.

The Chuck Season Finale was divided into two parts: “Chuck Versus the Subway” and “Chuck Versus the Ring, Part 2.”

When Joshua Gomez‘s character, Morgan, and a few other guys learn they’re going to face some pretty bad guys and might have to use a gun, they argue over who should do so.  Awesome can’t because he’s a doctor designed to save lives, but Morgan is a “lapsed vegetarian.”

Presumably, while he’s going to McDonald’s during his Buy More computer store breaks, using violence or ending another life may not be as traumatic during the “lapsed” stage.

In real life, Gomez is not a lapsed vegetarian (last we heard), and prefers his veggie burgers microwaved.

Rachelle Carson Begley Protects Family By Living Green

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 in Actresses, Environment-Eco-Green.

Premiere Of DreamWorks Animation's Shrek Forever After - Arrivals

Rachelle Carson Begley and her husband Ed Begley Jr. try to live as green a life as possible, although, if you tune into their Planet Green Channel show, “Living with Ed,” you’ll find they aren’t always in agreement, as Rachelle’s zest meter for an eco and veggie friendly lifestyle is always running with a little less fuel.

One area of green Rachelle doesn’t skip though is her family and home, as she told Celebrity Baby Scoop, that although she thinks men get into the green movement for energy or financial savings, women do so to protect their families.

“We have drop tolerant plants and our whole yard is filled with fruit trees. We have 4 fig trees, 3 apple trees, 3 orange and 2 lemon. We also have a vegetable garden. We live like anyone else, but we have a few more restrictions and we try a little extra to get organic foods. We’re mostly a vegetarian household too.”

Rachelle also keeps the plastics, parabens and toxic cleaning supplies out of the kitchen and bathroom.

“Look under your sinks and look what you are exposing yourself and your children to. Something like Fantastic or Tilex works instantaneously, but look at the downsides of those chemicals going into your water stream. You are breathing those chemicals and they are going onto your skin.”
