Kristy Lee Cook

A former American Idol contestant who wowed the crowds with her southern croons won’t be following the steps of fellow country music star and American Idol alumnus Carrie Underwood.

Kristy Lee Cook is the star of a new hunting television show, Goin’ Country, on the Versus channel where cameras shoot her as she shoots any creature that looks potentially tasty.

Recently Goldilocks shot the bear who was eating her grains and messing with her horses. She never found him on her bed, though.

“That bear had been causing trouble for five nights, eating grain and spooking my horses. He was making a mess of the whole barn,” Cook said, according to Fox News. β€œOne night I was walking in the house and I saw something standing in the door of my barn and I got him in one shot.”

Adam Levine

Some people mistakenly call eating chicken or fish or only abstaining from red meat vegetarian. Adam Levine calls vegetarian what he promises to do every time he comes home from the steakhouse.

During a recent Tweet, Levine wrote, “Being a vegetarian usually consists of eating a steak and promising that tomorrow I will start being a vegetarian.”

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel has already revealed her multiple food allergies made attempting to be vegetarian and vegan a nightmare.

Soy, wheat, dairy and eggs are all no-nos. At the end of the day that leaves little left in terms of vegetable protein (rice, legumes) so Zooey gave in and welcomed meat into her life.

Lion Resting

A restaurant near Phoenix, Arizona has put lion burgers on the menu in celebration of the World Cup soccer games in Africa, reports the New York Daily News.

Can’t see why a colored black and white popcorn ball wouldn’t do the trick, but okay.

“We thought that since the World Cup was in Africa … that the lion burger might be interesting for some of our more adventurous customers,” said owner Cameron Selogie.

This creative thinking has gotten Il Vinaio 250 (so far) angry e-mails from animal rights activists and outcries from regular customers.

Kelis The Carnivore Father Strict Vegetarian

Kelis doesn’t win any popularity points among vegetarians and animal activists for a whole bunch of reasons, specifically, having no problems wearing fur on her head. But it’s interesting to know that this PETA hater who calls herself “the biggest carnivore” grew up with a father who preferred tofu to tilapia.

“I guess he wanted me to be too,” Kelis says in The Guardian about her strict vegetarian father, “but my grandmother gave me a chicken doner and it was all over – I became a meat-eater, full-on. Zero guilt. My last supper would be a charcuterie smorgasbord with every kind of meat, and sauces to dip them in. When I get through this album’s cycle I want to develop a Kelis sauce range. I’m a saucy saucier.”

LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 20: Actress Bryce Dallas Howard arrives at 'The Losers' Premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on April 20, 2010 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

Bryce Dallas Howard revealed to Self Magazine that she took to eating meat again on the advice of a medical “professional.”

“I actually had a rare condition that was triggered by pregnancy, where consuming the amino acids from meat became critical to my health. My doctor sat me down and finally said, “Bryce, you need to choose between your ethics and your future.” The transition was emotional, but I was grateful to my doctor for putting things in perspective for me, and I’m grateful that I can still appreciate where my food comes from.”

Bryce doesn’t mention the name of her medical condition, but unless you’re allergic to soy, the old myth that only meat contains all necessary amino acids is as phony as the “vegetarian” vampires in Eclipse.

Frankenburger

Frankenburger

The KFC Double Down and McGangburger have had their 15 minutes of fame. Now the Frankenburger is hoping to win the hearts (by literally stopping them) of people with it’s trio of McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Burger King food components.

Unlike other “killer” meat sandwich combos, the Frankenburger is not simply of piling of several patties of dead flesh onto a bun. Rather it takes the meat, cheese, vegetables, fries and other ingredients from several fast food meals to create the “perfect” burger. We are already salivating at a vegan version. Here is the formula for disaster, from Village Voice.
