Paul McCartney, taking his message of Meat-Free Mondays to the European Parliament.

He addressed an audience in Brussels to encourage the idea of skipping meat at least one day a week for the good of the planet.

Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson is inviting horse lovers across the nation to consider adopting one of his “Signature Horses” at Habitat for Horses.

The organization takes in rescue horses from a variety of abuse and neglect situations.

Over the years, Nelson and his daughter have worked with Habitat for Horses to help over 70 horses find loving homes.

The adoption rules for horses are obviously more extensive than for your typical house pet.

Asia Drummer Carl Palmer Went Vegan In “Heat Of The Moment”

Carl Palmer, drummer for the rock band Asia, went vegan last year after an e. coli infection that forced the band to cancel a tour.

“It has changed my whole life,” Palmer said in an interviewed posted to Classic Rock Revisited. “I have become a Vegan. I don’t eat any dairy, cheese, milk, meat or whatever. I can’t eat anything that’s got a face. I just never want to be this ill again.”

Russ Irwin Of Aerosmith Rocks Vegan (Video)

Russ Irwin has been a backup vocalist and keyboardist for the rock group Aerosmith for years.

Irvin has eaten vegan for the past year and a half and has taken the time to record a pro-vegetarian ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

“First thing that happen when I made the switch–I lost a lot of weight,” Irwin says in the video.

“I just felt lighter. I felt healthier. I felt better.”

If you travel long haul a lot or don’t sleep much, it’s not going to last very long, that’s for sure. I’m pretty healthy so I think that helps a lot. Billy Corgan Walter E. Smithe Ad Benefits PAWS Chicago (Video)

Billy Corgan‘s commercial debut promotes a local company in his hometown and benefits an animal welfare organization.

“I can honestly say that if it had been anybody else in the country outside of Chicago … I probably wouldn’t have done it,” Corgan said, according to the Chicago Tribune.

“(And because) the commercial’s obviously very focused on the Chicago market,” added Corgan of the combined advertisement for his wrestling company Reinaissance Pro and Walter E. Smithe furniture.

The furniture company donated $50,000 to PAWS Chicago–the city’s largest no-kill animal organziation– in exchange for Corgan’s participation.
