Quantcast Vegetarian StarWillie Nelson Unveils Signature Horses At Habitat For Horses

Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson is inviting horse lovers across the nation to consider adopting one of his “Signature Horses” at Habitat for Horses.

The organization takes in rescue horses from a variety of abuse and neglect situations.

Over the years, Nelson and his daughter have worked with Habitat for Horses to help over 70 horses find loving homes.

The adoption rules for horses are obviously more extensive than for your typical house pet.

Interested candidates should prove they have the ability to provide adequate land space, shelter, fencing, and be able to provide the large animal with necessary medical maintenance.

The country music legend is no stranger to horse welfare.

He recorded a version of the Rolling Stones “Wild Horses” to benefit Animal Welfare Institute, an organization helping many animals, including horses.

Visit Habitat for Horses to learn more about Nelson’s work with the them and decided if you are a good fit for Good Time Charlie, Poncho, Lefty and Heart.
