Bon Iver‘s singer Justin Vernon has created a video to promote shoes for Keep Company.

Keep Company specializes in vegan footwear, and both Vernon and the retailer are supporters of Best Friends, one of the United State’s largest sanctuary for rescued, neglected and abused animals.

A parent to two rescue cats himself, Vernon let a few four-legged actors have a spot in the advertisements.

Broccoli Obama Shirt

George Bush denounced the green vegetable, but President Barack Obama recently showed just how opposite he and the former GOP leader are by declaring how much he loves broccoli.

At the 2nd annual White House Kids State Dinner, two of the child attendees were given the opportunity to ask Obama a question. When asked what his favorite food was, Obama’s answer was the popular member of the cabbage family.

Kate Middleton has received an animal-friendly gift from People from the Ethical Treatment of Animals just days before her expected due date.

The group sent her a faux sheepskin blanket as a baby shower gift and explained in a note that while regular sheepskin blankets given to babies involve animal cruelty, their faux blanket and toy keeps both babies and animals happy.

Most fashionistas know that eating a plant-based diet never goes out of style.

But just like wardrobe malfunctions happen on the runway, when Vogue features director Eve MacSweeney tried cooking vegan for herself and her husband who has experienced some heart problems, a few issues occurred that hindered her ability to make the show go on.

“It was all down to me, it seemed, and pretty soon I was having a chickpea-induced nervous breakdown,” MacSweeney wrote.

The daughter of former president Bill Clinton who also went on to adopt a plant-based diet, interviewed Stella for the feature, discussing how her line of clothing that does not use leather or fur became such a mainstream hit.
