Vegetarian loathing Anthony Bourdain may have found plant-based mecca.

The chef and host of Parts Unknown traveled to Punjab, India for the show’s premiere and sampled fare that is considered standard for the majority of the population.

And much of it did not contain meat.

Tal Ronnen

It’s been about a year since vegan chef to the starsĀ Tal Ronnen helped create Crossroads, a vegetarian and vegan cuisine restaurant in L.A.

Eateries that specialize in vegetables are thriving, and Ronnen says at least 90% of customers are meat eaters.

He’s had the chance to cater to several interesting characters, including Beyonce and Jay Z.

Not only has he worked tirelessly ensuring the stars who follow a plant-based diet have a selection to choose from at awards ceremonies, he’s also fed PETA supporters at its event.

Her latest cookbook, Week in a Day, is filled with dozens of recipes taken from her popular Food Network television show with the same name.

With the abundance of faux meats and cheeses and egg substitutes out there, it’s easy to veganize or vegify almost any recipe.
