Jaime King is a well-paid, popular actress from the Hart of Dixie series but that doesn’t mean she has loads of money to spend on groceries.

King recently Tweeted about her troubles trying to eat vegan on a budget.

“I feel like you have to be a gazilllionare to be a proper vegan. Like Ellen. Her skin in flawless. I need to save up for a chef.”

Venus Williams hosted a garden party for her sportswear clothing line for men and women, EleVen.

The Wall Street Journal reports there were vegan protein bars and other animal-free treats served at the event, including refreshments from the company she is a franchise owner of, Jamba Juice.

Chef Roble Ali entertains and satisfies the most eclectic appetites on his Bravo television series Chef Roble & Co., where he works with his New York upscale clients to create a catered event equivalent to that of the stars.

Weddings, bachelor parties and even dog parties have been on Roble’s list of events and he’s even had to bend over backwards for a few vegetarians. Maybe that’s why he learned to make this pan seared tofu.

Tommy Lee is no longer interested in hearing about the sex lives of the whales at SeaWorld. He just wants to make sure his music isn’t being played while they’re getting it on.

In a letter to John T. Reilly, President of SeaWorld San Diego, Lee asks that the marine park not play any Motley Crue music during any of its “Shamu Rocks” shows.

“Although we like to torture the human fans who willingly come to our shows, we don’t want to be a part of making innocent animals’ lives hellish,” writes Lee. “I’ve learned from my friends at PETA that these marine animals are very sensitive to sound, as they communicate by sonar, and loud noises mess with their most basic instincts and drive them more nuts than they already are when trapped in your tanks.”

He’s already told us he knows what he’s doing. MMA fighters agree. Now Houston Texans dietitian Roberta Anding is giving her input on Arian Foster‘s vegan diet decision.

“Arian has been one of these guys I call a seeker, looking for optimum nutrition and variety,” Anding said. “In my working with him, he has been open to a lot of strategies to get him where he needs to be, not only as a professional football player but, more importantly, as an adult man who has a child and a wife. The Research without Cruelty event will feature Baldwin with PCRM founder Dr. Neal Barnard and Dennis Erdman, cruelty-free cocktails and discussion about animal welfare in medicine.

Alicia Silverstone Tweeted her disgust with Chick-fil-A and posted a counter-chicken recipe on her blog, The Kind Life.

“Stick it to Chik-fil-A http://bit.ly/Rq6TX9 with this yum-looking #recipe @PETA RT,” she wrote.

“Chik-fil-A is pretty all around awful, so if you know someone who likes their sandwiches, hit ‘em with this recipe, courtesy of PETA,” Silverstone wrote on her blog.

PETA says that 10 out of 10 gay chickens agree that this vegan chicken sandwich is the only one anyone should ever eat.
