PETA Names Top Veggie Friendly NFL Stadiums

PETA might not have agreed with the Philadelphia Eagles’ decision to give a contract to Michael Vick two years ago, but it does acknowledge that Lincoln Financial Field has some of the best vegetarian and vegan options available to fans who attend home games.

The Eagles won the #1 spot on the animal rights group’s “Top 5 Vegetarian-Friendly Stadiums 2012.”

Jillian Michaels has thrown her support behind legislation to protect horses from abuse.

H.R. 6388, the Horse Protection Act Amendments of 2012, is designed to strengthen the Horse Protection Act passed in 1970, a measure intended to stop “soring” – the “deliberate infliction of pain to gaited horses in order to produce an unnatural high-stepping gait for competitions” according to the Humane Society of the United States.

“The Situation” Mike Sorrentino took his shirt off recently to attract a lot of pussy.

Even though he enjoys it, he recognizes too much of it is bad for the millions of cats in shelters and on the streets who are unable to be adopted.

The Jersey Shore star unveiled a brand new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, advocating spaying and neutering to reduce the unwanted pet population.

Green means go, red means heck no and yellow means a “sometimes food?”

New York Times foodwriter and opinionist Mark Bittman has proposed a new labeling system that will allow consumers to quickly make decisions about the health impact of their food purchases.

Instead of scrutinizing calories, fat, and other minute nutritional detail, shoppers would simply look for a “red,” “yellow” or “green” symbol to learn how healthy the item was.

This isn’t just Bittman’s idea thrown out of anywhere. There’s actual data suggesting the system makes consumers turn down “red” light products more.

Rosie O’Donnell spoke with Entertainment Tonight about her recent heart health scare and how she hopes switching to a vegetarian diet will help erase some of the damage she’s done to her health over the years.

“I’d like to say I had a heart attack — because women especially like to say heart event. I’m like ‘No, it’s a real heart attack,'” she emphasized. “But I’m feeling better, I’m following the doctor’s orders, and it’s totally made me change the way that I was living.”

A study found that 13% of physicians recommend a low-fat vegetarian diet for their heart patients, although it’s recommended all do. O’Donnell has chosen to follow this advice, regardless of any RX.

Former White House chef Walter Scheib says both Chelsea Clinton and Hillary Clinton were big fans of his garlic hummus. Scheib had to keep this chickpea spread fresh in the kitchen at all times and often sent it with the Clintons on trips away from Pennsylvania Ave.
