“My mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was very young. So that had a huge impact, seeing what disease can do. And as a physical therapist, working in hospitals and seeing chronic illness. Even though I was treating people on a muscular and neurological level, it was very apparent that what people eat destines long-term health. At the time, I was eating fast food four times a week, you name it — extra-large fries, double McChicken sandwich. I used to hate vegetables.”

The King's Speech

The King’s Speech producer Emile Sherman is known for creating an Academy Award nominated film portraying King George VI and his battle to overcome stuttering.

But it may not be as well known that Sherman is also the force behind one of Australia’s biggest animal welfare organizations, Voiceless, which Sherman established in only a year after seeing video footage of factory farms during a United States animal rights conference.

Morrissey Comments On Lady Gaga Meat Dress

Morrissey was recently interviewed by the Daily Telegraph when the subject of Lady Gaga and her infamous meat dress came up.

Given the fact Morrissey is a highly opionated and a longterm vegetarian, it was expected he’d have a few criticisms for the Born This Way singer.

Mold On Veggies Good, Meat And Dairy Bad (Video)

Every day a new study comes out that contradicts our current knowledge or comfort, but this one is still kind of hard to swallow.

Contrary to what mother may have taught you, mold on certain food isn’t all that bad. In fact, if you’ve got mold on your fruits and vegetables, instead of having to deal with the Whole Foods parking lot drama to buy more, you can simply cut that part of the plant off and eat away.

obscura "Antiques & Oddities"

Evan Michelson and Mike Zohn are the stars of the Science Channel’s Oddities, a show about their everyday lives runningĀ Obscura Antiques and Oddities, a shop carrying, according to This Dish Is Veg, everything from “exploding skulls to embalming equipment to dolls made with belly button lint.”

Michelson and Zohn are both vegetarians, so thank goodness they aren’t eating some of those weird items with skulls, but they did reveal to This Dish Is Veg the oddities of their diets, which include plenty of good food from New York City’s vegetarian restaurants.
