“Grimm” Transforms Werewolf To Vegetarian Crime Solver (Video)

A new NBC series that combines classic childhood fairy tales with crime drama will feature a vegetarian character who helps put the Big Bad Wolves away.

Grimm, which will debut on October 21 at 9p.m. ET, will have Silas Weir Mitchell (My Name is Earl, Prison Break) playing a werewolf-like character who has trained himself to both go vegetarian and help detectives solve crimes.

Mark Bittman is using his New York Times column to explore the possibility of taxing unhealthy food.

Bittman feels this is a way to get Americans to change their eating habits and hold companies accountable for producing products that contain harmful ingredients.

“Simply put: taxes would reduce consumption of unhealthful foods and generate billions of dollars annually,” Bittman writes in an article titled, “Bad Food? Tax It, and Subsidize Vegetables.”

“I try to be surprising when I make salads,” Burrell said. “I love using less traditional greens, like escarole, which has a real bite to it and can stand up to other strong flavors. And I like to play with textures. One of my favorite salads is based on raw asparagus cut really thin so it’s super crisp but still tender.”

Nicki Minaj was caught gobbling up vegetarian food at Atlanta’s Sunflower Cafe.

The restaurant Tweeted what the singer ate.

“We had Ms. @NickiMinaj in the house tonight! She had the Crispy Fried Okra, Steamed Dumplings, and of course Sesame Soy Chicken.”

The restaurant that’s been serving tasty dishes like Walnut Toasted Orzo Cutlet, Spring Quinoa and Stuffed Acorn Squash was voted one of the “10 Great Places To Eat With An Easy Conscience” by USA Today and a winner of the 2009 Vegetarian Times Dining Out Awards.
