As reported earlier, the movie adaptation to the Scott Pilgrim comic book series, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is set for release this year and Universal Pictures has released a few photos from the film.

In both the books and the film, Scott Pilgrim, played by Michael Cera falls in love with a girl only to discover he has to fight off all her seven ex boyfriends.

One of those exes, Todd Ingram, boasts graduating at the top of his class from the Vegan Academy while disparaging non-vegans, saying they use only 10% of their brains while the rest is filled with “curds and whey.”

However, it’s later learned that Todd may not use his brain as much as he claims, as his cheats with dairy.

Take a look at the photo of a real vegan, Jason Schwartzman, who plays Gideon Graves in the movie.

Carol Leifer “Celebrity Apprentice”–Business Of Funny And Vegan

Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences Presents "From Stand-Up To Sitcom"

TV Squad asked what comedian Carol Leifer was doing on a reality TV show about serious business, Celebrity Apprentice.

“Doesn’t she seem like the type of person who would dump on reality shows (especially celebrity reality shows) rather than be on one?” said writer Bob Sassone.

Hopefully, the recently turned vegan funny woman won’t attempt to make DNA mutating Agent Orange chicken like Herschel Walker did.

When given the task of creating frozen meals for a large company, Walker chose to take charge, even though he was a vegetarian.

Despite so many successful veggie companies like BabyCakes and Linda McCartney foods, Herschel couldn’t see a group of suited carnivores enjoying a plant based meal.

Do you even have to be told he was fired?

If Carol is given the same challenge, she’ll surely opt for entrees everyone can enjoy.

The Celebrity Apprentice season premier airs March 14th on NBC.

Natalie Portman picks up her pet pooch from the vets

Just Jared has profiled 10 celebrities and their pets, including Natalie Portman and her Yorkshire Terrier named Whiz.

The actress told PETA, “I am a very strict vegetarian. I just really, really love animals, and I act on my values.”

Natalie recently turned vegan after reading Jonathan Safran Foer‘s book, Eating Animals and some celebrities, like Alicia Silverstone have taken veganism so seriously they’ve recruited their four legged family members into the diet club.

Portman and her pups might one day share the same meal together.

But hopefully, not the same bowl.

Heather Mills Has A New Look And A New Cause?

Heather Mills is competing in this season’s Dancing On Ice, which premiers tonight at 9PM on ITV1.

According to The Evening Times, Heather took the time to bring vegan cakes to the show’s participants this year, but is trying to stay away from the dairy and egg free desserts herself.

“I am looking forward to wearing my catsuits but I’ve had to be careful not to put weight on and stay off my vegan chocolate muffins!” Heather said, according to The Sun.

Fattening up the competition is a great way to gain an edge.

“MTV Real World”–Who Would You (The Vegan Edition)

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 in Polls/Surveys, Reality TV, Who Would You.

It’s been years since the original MTV Real World cast member Eric Nies took off his shirt and enticed the ladies (and maybe the gentlemen) with his ripped abs.

Nies went on to become a vegan life coach.

Now, Callie from Texas on Real World XXIII, a female young enough to be Nies’ daughter is already ahead of the game, proudly announcing she’s already taken the road less traveled by cattle.

Would a vegan have even come out of the closet on MTV over a decade ago?

Between the two Real World stars, who would you rather do…
