Vegetarian and animal lover Pink took to Twitter to share some info about dog adoption, in celebration of Puppy Mill Awareness Day.

“Its”puppymill awareness day”and I just got back from the incredible event at La Brea Tar Pits. Chris DeRose is amazing.No more puppy mills!!”

“Puppy mills are awful, filthy, cruel places where dogs never see daylight, sleep in their own feces, and r bred over n over for pet stores.”

“Boycott pet stores people!!!!”

According to the ASPCA, puppy mills got started shortly after World War II, as a way to guarantee cash when widespread crop failures occurred in the midwest. Later in the 70s, puppy brokers on the East Coast in the U.S. convinced Amish farmers to breed dogs to be taken to pet stores and even conducted seminars to teach farmers how to operate breeding facilities.

Singer Pink and husband Carey Hart spent some quality time together, enjoying themselves and promoting cruelty-free entertainment.

The singer, who’s real name is Alecia Beth Moore, took to Twitter to describe her experience attending an animal free circus.

“Ugggghhh I had the BESTest day with my amazing sexy hubby @hartluck riding around on beach cruisers w feathers in my hat watching the circus (sic),” Pink wrote.

“Not the real circus people. No animals, just people. That look and behave like animals. On acid. Tis’ a colorful world (sic).”

As a longtime vegetarian and animal rights supporter, she’s probably cheering on PETA’s call to shut down the Ringling Brothers.

The animal rights group has accused the circus of abusing its elephants.

The Humane Society has put together a list of circuses, tour productions and entertainers that do not use animals in any of their shows.

Check it out and enjoy some human tricks the next time one rolls into your town.

Banned In Hollywood has compiled its list of 6 celebrities who pose to save the environment.

Pose could mean they’re serious about their recycling and eating less meat or that they’re just looking for a Sigg ad to complete their resume.

But when it comes to vegetarian celebrities like Paul McCartney and singer Pink, you know they’re serious about promoting their beliefs.

Paul McCartney launched his meat-free Monday campaign in hopes of having everyone skip beef, pork and poultry for just one day a week.

And singer Pink puts compassion behind her argument against the environmentally unfriendly fur industry, never hesitating to trash another celebrity for being cruel enough to purchase animal hide.

Normally, this would be saved as a Fur Real or Fur Fake, but with Kanye West ‘s history of fur lovin’, what’s the point of even asking.

He and girlfriend Amber Rose attended the Louis Vuitton Fashion Show dressed to kill–even though something already looked dead.

When he and Amber attended another fashion show by the vegetarian Stella McCartney, Kanye kept asking where the fur fashions were.

Duh!

Vegetarian singer Pink responded by saying, “There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him. Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.”

Pink is a vegetarian, card carrying member of PETA and animal activist and lover in general.

But lately, the singer who’s real name is Alecia Moore, has been having some troubles with animals-either in her sleep or when she’s conscious.

“I dreamt the other night that I smuggled two kangaroos home from Australia and they trashed my house and my dog Bailey was terrified,” Pink said. “Bad idea!”

But dear, why are you taking wild animals into your home anyway? A trashed home could be the least of your worries.

The second incident involved a frog that wanted some face lovin.’

During a recent bike trip with husband Carey Hart, the two stopped on the side of the road to, ahem, “relieve themselves.”

“They were relieving themselves by the road when a frog jumped up and hit Pink bang in the eyes,” a source said. “She freaked.”

Lessons learned: Don’t smuggle animals, especially ones that belong in the wild into your home. And don’t pee on a frog’s property as he’ll want to protect his turf.

Pink got political during her sold out show at the Patriot Center in the D.C. area recently and gave a shout out to First Lady Michelle Obama.

“Let’s get political for a second,” Pink said. “Since we’re near D.C., I have to give a shout-out to Michelle Obama, who has announced that she is officially fur-free. I love an animal-lovin’ first lady!”

Pink then began singing her Dear Mr. President song, which describes her questions about politics.

Better to be on Pink’s good side when it comes to animal hides because if you remember correctly, she had a few different choice of words when describing Kanye West and fur.
