Blake Lively wore a pair of thigh high faux leather Stella McCartney boots to the launch party of the book, You Know You Want It: Style Inspiration Confidence by Eric Daman.

Damon is the costume designer for Gossip Girl.

These boots look so snug and comfy, they must feel like second skin.

It’s great that Lively chose to wear Stella’s cruelty-free fashion, instead of taking another animal’s skin.

This completely makes up for Blair and Serena making fun of seitan months ago.

Wonder if Daman is just as ethical on the set of Gossip Girl.

Although we’re saddened we can’t spread the gossip that Taylor Momsen is still vegetarian, at least we can bring you the news she still doesn’t eat red meat.

At the recent Whitney Museum Gala at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Taylor discussed how she’s trying to combat the flu season this year with lots of veggies.

“I eat really healthy and I work out,” Taylor said. “I dance and go to the gym a little bit here and there.”

Last year, Taylor was a victim of the flu bug while working on the set of Gossip Girl.

Many veg foods like garlic, citrus and yogurt with probiotics have been suggested to strengthen your immune system and help fight the flu.

Finally, some Gossip Girl gossip that doesn’t involve whispering over steak. Almost.

Kelly Rutherford says she craves greens during pregnancy and loves to steam kale and chard. And it would be all great if that was the only thing she craved.

But since she does share a set with Big Mac loving Chace Crawford and orgasmic burger seeking Jessica Szohr, it would figure her cravings also involve having greens with organic turkey burger. Guess she’ll be calling upon Gwyneth Paltrow for some recipes. Eck!

But hey, green vegetables are a start. Especially when there’s so much talk in Hollywood about women craving meat while with child. 

Rutherford is expecting baby #2 any day now.

We learned earlier that Gossip Girl Jessica Szohr partook in some serious hamburger whoredom after taking a decade vow of meat celibacy.

We were disappointed this ex-vegetarian was so delighted at tasting meat in 10 years that she described it as “orgasmic,” so it comes as an even bigger blow that another Gossip Girl star, Chace Crawford, has also recently expressed his love for a Big Mac.

In the June issue of InStyle magazine, Chace was quoted as saying, “There’s nothing sexier than a Big Mac. I don’t eat a lot of them, but it’s just a whole complete package.”

Just what is so sexy about grilled bloody flesh, cholesterol card carrying mayonnaise, and a slice of cheese manufactured from milk taken from a whored-out dairy cow that will ultimately get the ax once a younger, sexier heifer who can birth a calf and produce milk comes along?

In a recent interview with Men’s Health Magazine, Jessica Szohr admitted to a super orgasmic experience involving her man. Uh, her man’s hamburger, that is.

“After ten years of eating vegetarian I tried my boyfriend’s. I was overwhelmed. It was orgasmic.”

She also stated, “When I have a craving for something, I just can’t hold myself back.”

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and you slackers better head to the mall quick.

The Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine is a non-profit organization that promotes a veggie diet and lifestyle to prevent and treat diseases like diabetes, as well as advocates the advancement of medical research without the testing on animals.

The group recently held a benefit at Peter and Mary Max’s in New York city, where veg celebrities like Moby, Dan Piraro, and Dreama Walker attended.

Guess that means Dreama kept her vegetarian ways.

If you recall, the Gossip Girl actress embarked on a 30-day vegan diet after watching the Joaquin Phoenix narrated documentary, Earthlings. She had said then she probably would continue, but might see how her body would react to dairy.

With all the vegan food to choose from at the event, Dreama certainly didn’t have to worry about straying from vegan that night, as food from fine restaurants like  Bonobo’s, 4-Course Vegan and Candle 79 was served.

Serena and Blair may jokingly put down vegetarian food, but Gossip Girl Dreama Walker, who plays Hazel Williams on the show, is now worshiping seitan.

Walker has embarked on a 30 day vegan adventure, motivated partly by her watching the Joaquin Phoenix narrated documentary Earthlings.

So far, Dreama’s enjoying it and says she will probably continue, but does what to experiment to see how her body will react to eating dairy again.

Sounds like Dreama should also pay Rob Sedgwick a visit. She absolutely loves vegan ice cream!

“Its uncanny how much the soy ice cream tastes like real ice cream!!” she exclaimed during her interview with Ecorazzi.

“But, I’m really fascinated by the Tofurky Italian Sausages, and genuinely look forward to my chocolate soy protein shake with rice milk each morning!”

Dreama is taking the vegan thing all the way, giving up her Ugg boots (which are made of sheepskin) and becoming well read on being a Skinny Bitch, the famous vegan diet book by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin.
