Helen Flanagan “Coronation Street” Fur Real Or Fur Fake

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 in Actresses, Fur, Fur Real Or Fur Fake.

Coronation Street stars at Granada Studios in Manchester

Helen Flanagan was seen walking around Granada Studios in Manchester recently.

Helen plays Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, the longest running and most watched soap opera on British television.

If you’ve ever watched soap operas, you might get a laugh here and there, because, although entertaining, let’s face it-some of that acting is incredibly fake (not to mention you could have children and grandchildren before one storyline is complete).

Which is why we hope Helen was faking when she wore this furry jacket.

Animals have “One Life To Live” and they really should live it out to the fullest and not be skinned and killed prematurely for a coat.

Take a look and tell us what you think.

Is Helen fur real or fur fake?

Brigitte Bardot Asked Sophia Loren For Fur Free Birthday

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 in Actresses, Fur.

Bridgitte Bardot Travels to Romania to Save Street Dogs

Two sex symbols of the 60s, Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren, turned 75 this month.

Bardot, a vegetarian and animal rights activist, wished Sophia a happy three quarters of a century, asking Sophia to give her the best birthday present ever.

“I wish a happy birthday to Sophia Loren, my splendid twin, and I ask her to stop wearing fur — that is the best gift she could offer me,” Bardot said.

Bardot was less harsh with her words than she was in the 90s when she said, “Wearing a fur is wearing a cemetery on your back,” after Loren posed in fur for an Italian designer.

Hey, it’s her birthday month. Everyone’s a little nicer around that time.

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince at Mahiki and The Ivy Club in London, UK

Kate Moss stepped out from a night of clubbing at Mahiki and The Ivy with boyfriend Jamie Hince wearing this gold coat with fake fur trim.

It’s about time Kate faked it.

She’s made the worst dressed list for her fur wearing ways in the past and is said to have fur rugs in her home.

Nice improvement, Kate.

Does this have anything to do with her vegan rocker boyfriend from The Kills?

Lady Gaga leaves her hotel wearing a fur coat, lingerie and thigh-high boots in Toronto, Canada

Lady Gaga was spotted leaving her hotel room for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in what looks to be fur.

Has to be fake, right?

Back when Gaga was sporting her Kermit the Frog coat, she said, “I really loved this one in particular because I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, ’cause I hate fur and I don’t wear fur. We were all laughing in the house about how it looks like a pile of dead Kermits.”

Take a look and judge for yourself.

Has Gaga went back on her word?

Nia Long Gets Skinned On The Subway In PETA Anti-Fur Ad

Also an advertisement for photoshopping, the latest PETA anti-fur ad features actress Nia Long in her birthday suit on the subway.

Seems like the photoshop user got a little crazy and wiped away her belly button. And chiseled off some of her calf.

Were they trying to emphasize how animals are skinned to get fur by scraping away some of Nia?

“Be comfortable in your own skin,” reads the ad. “And let animals keep theirs.”

The actress who’s had roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Third Watch, and Are We There Yet?  has given up some of her flesh. Now, there’s no reason for an animal to give any of theirs.

Lady Gaga has been known for her choice of stage outfits, but this one really takes the cruelty-free cake.

The woman born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta recently made headlines with her Kermit the Frog outfit that she’s proud to say is fur free.

“The Kermit the Frog outfit is by an incredible designer by the name of Jean[-Charles] de Castelbajac, and he does a lot of museum art fashion pieces,” she said.

“I really loved this one in particular because I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, ’cause I hate fur and I don’t wear fur. We were all laughing in the house about how it looks like a pile of dead Kermits.”

Note: No Kermit the Frogs were harmed or killed in any way during the making of the outfit.
