Sarah Palin "Going Rogue"

Sarah Palin "Going Rogue"

The long awaited Sarah Palin book (insert laugh) will arrive at your local bookstore November 17 2009.

Sarah chose to make fun of herself and include some of her own Palinisms that made an entire nation mock her along with Saturday Night Live.

What Would Sarah cook for a vegetarian?
“If any vegans came over for dinner, I could whip them up a salad, then explain my philosophy on being a carnivore: If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”

Alaska’s animals belong next to the vegetables–on a plate:
“I love meat. I eat pork chops, thick bacon burgers, and the seared fatty edges of a medium-well-done steak. But I especially love moose and caribou. I always remind people from outside our state that there’s plenty of room for all Alaska’s animals — right next to the mashed potatoes.”

Yes, we know Sarah’s making her attempt at humor, but after angering so many on her animal and environment policies, should she back away from the snide remarks towards those who don’t pack moose Lunchables for their children every morning?

Feels like we’re asking you to vote Funny or Die.

Like almost mother-in-law like son.

Levi Johnston, the ex and baby daddy of 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin‘s daughter Bristol Palin‘s child, has just admitted to gobbling up Morris.

To bring sexy back for his upcoming nude photos for Playgirl (yes, we know you’re running to the stands right now), Levi has been eating lots of meat, specifically Moose meat.

“Moose meat is very good for you, high in protein and very lean,” says Levi’s trainer, Marvin Jones. “He’s an avid hunter, so he has his own.”

What Marvin the trainer doesn’t know is that there are plenty of athletes that get bulky, ripped and ready to go on a vegetarian and even vegan diet.

Moose meat may only let Levi sit naked (or is it nekkid in Alaska) in front of the camera, but the complete protein of soy and high protein plant foods like tempeh could give him the strength and endurance of a triathlete like Brandon Brazier.

Boo to moose meat.

Boo to meaty diets as an attempt to look athletic.

We’ll wait for the centerfold to come out before we boo Levi’s body.

Sarah Palin’s Good-Bye Speech Gets Mocked By Daily Show

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, July 28th, 2009 in Humor, Politicians, Videos.

Sarah Palin’s resignation as governor of Alaska has made some environmentalists and animal rights activists happy, due to her stance on issues such as aerial wolf hunting.

As usual, comedians have chosen to make fun of the situation.

Here’s a clip from a recent The Daily Show with John Stewart making fun of Palin’s resignation speech.

Jon satirizes the following paragraph in Palin’s “good-bye” speech:

“You’re going to see anti-hunting, anti-second amendment circuses from Hollywood and here’s how they do it,” Palin said. “They use these delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets, they use Alaska as a fundraising tool for their anti-second amendment causes. Stand strong, and remind them patriots will protect our guaranteed, individual right to bear arms, and by the way, Hollywood needs to know, we eat, therefore we hunt.”

Jon mocks Palin using every argument from armed hamsters in the new G Force movie to eating wolf burgers.

The drummer of the all vegetarian band Rise Against, Brandon Barnes, sat down for a little one on one chit chat with tomtimms.com where he talked about how easy it is to be veg and gave some thoughts on global warming and Sarah Palin.

This isn’t the first time Brandon has expressed himself on the 2008 vice presidential candidate. She must stir up a world of opinions!

So it was sorta by chance you all were vegetarians and had the same beliefs.
Yeah we all have same politics, not all bands have that dynamic. We’re all veggie and minded on those beliefs.

How is it on the road and finding the grub.
Well the catering is all veggie, restaurants are very accommodating to vegetarians. We can get pasta and veggie burgers. Most major cities now have vegetarian restaurants.

What do you think about Governor Palin talking about the ice glacier’s not melting due to Global Warming.
Yeah I saw the skit with Tina Fey on SNL, one of her lines was “There isn’t global warning, its just god hugging us a little tighter”. Most of the major scientist in the world agree that global warming is the cause, so you can’t really argue against it as its pretty much fact. I think alot of the Republicans wanna believe it’s not. Climate change does go in cycles, however they wanna keep drilling. What happened to the battery operated car, it’s a possibility. There are all these people who own oil and sell oil there keeping things like that from developers as they wanna make more money. Sarah Palin probably does know.

Bristol Palin and Hayden Panettiere on a panel on Teen pregnancy prevention

With the innocent face that Bristol Palin possesses, it almost seems too cruel to make fun of her.

After all, she is her own person, too young for the world to attack her simply because she shares genes with a particular 2008 vice presidential candidate the media loved to pounced on as well.

It’s downright unfair… And funny, hehehe.

The Spoof is at it again, this time choosing to poke fun of Canada governor general Michaëlle Jean slaughtering a seal, then eating its raw heart. Sounds like Jean’s got motherly instincts.

“Using a traditional Inuit ulu blade Palin, 19, chomped her way through the palpitating organ in an apparent gesture of one-upmanship with her moose-slaughtering mother Sarah.”

“”Yummy!” Bristol told press reporters who witnessed the sacrificial rite this weekend. “And so full of rich nutrients it almost makes ya wish you’re pregnant again!””

Apparently Bristol’s ex boy and baby daddy Levi Johnston is much, much older than we all thought. Find out his real age at Thespoof.com.

CNN’s Showbiz Tonight Gets In On Judd-Palin Debate

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, February 9th, 2009 in Actresses, Politicians, Videos.

The Ashley Judd vs. Sarah Palin feud now has a third party jumping in. CNN has featured a clip from Showbiz Tonight with several people weighing in on the debate, but it looks as though they’re all weighted down on Palin’s side.

Recap: Sarah Palin thinks Alaskans should be able to shoot wolves from a plane. Ashley Judd says no. Ashley teams up with Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund to record a video, helping to give the group publicity as they keep adding details to their “list” of the decisions Palin has made regarding the environment and animals. Sarah Palin calls them “extreme.” Judd get on Larry King Live to further discuss Palin’s record. Even The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck throws her two cents in

Sit back and take in the latest discussion, folks. Gotta feeling there’s much more to come.

Ashley Judd Vs. Sarah Palin: Round 2 On Larry King Live

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, February 9th, 2009 in Actresses, Animal Issues, Politicians, Videos.

When Ashley Judd announced her partnership with Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, Sarah Palin shot back criticizing both the vegetarian actress and the group.

Now Judd is firing back at Palin’s latest statements on Larry King Live, where she alleges Palin’s aerial wolf hunt policies are more to do with her “pet project” than concern for wildlife. Judd claims not only do the people who use moose and caribou not use planes to shoot wolves, but that Palin has voted in ways that has hurt the populations dependent on this practice and that Alaskans have voted against Palin’s policies several times.

Some quotes from the interview:

“What is really important is to maintain a healthy and natural ecological balance between predators and prey. And allowing wealthy humans, primarily urban hunters or those who are bounty hunters from out of state, to go to Alaska and for sport hire airplanes, hire private pilots to fly around and kill wolves in this incredibly savage manner, it’s not right. It is not ethical. It is not appropriate. It doesn’t make sense on any level.”

“I think what I find particularly galling in the governor’s statement is that somehow this is interfering with poor rural Alaskan’s ability to subsistence hunt. That is a distortion. In fact, there is a native tribe in the area who applied to be able to expand their subsistence hunting and she said no. This is for urban hunters. It’s for trophy hunters from out of state. And in terms of managing the population of caribou, hello, wolves do that best. That’s why the natives honor them as the animal that keeps genetic populations healthy.”

In response to Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s criticism of not paying attention to humans as much as animals:

“We can fight poverty and pollution at the same time. These things go hand in glove. Caring about human rights, caring about conservation, of course they fit together naturally. Look at Rwanda, stress on the environment, competition for resources due to overpopulation, genocide. It all works together. So it doesn’t — it’s not an either/or conversation anymore.”
