Fox News television personality Greta Van Susteren went behind the scenes at Mike Tyson‘s home where he showed her his pigeons that are the subject–as well as the controversy with animal rights groups–of his new series on Animal Planet about pigeon racing, Taking On Tyson.

These days Tyson doesn’t give an interview with bringing up his V-Love, and he told Greta how his diet for the past two years has made him a mellow man. He also revealed it was his wife that made him go vegan. Even though she doesn’t always live by example.

Shahid Kapoor Knows Chicks Love A Vegetarian (Video)

PETA has launched a brand new ad featuring Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor promoting vegetarianism.

Holding two chicks in the palms of his hands, Shahid flashes a smile that helped him win PETA India’s Sexiest Vegetarian of 2009 award.

“I love chicksā€¦ pigs, cows, fish, and all the other animals too,” Shahid said. “That’s why I turned vegetarian.”

“I am very happy being a vegetarian and I believe that it is the best way to be. The day I started believing in the fact that I would want not to kill animals for my taste buds that is the day everything changed for me.”

Jamie Oliver made an appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart where he discussed the decision of the Los Angeles County Unified School District to lock him out of the school system when he requested access to the cafeterias to teach kids to eat healthier for the second season of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

Stewart joked, “It may be the only reality show not being shot in the L.A. school district.”

Mario Batali will return to the New York Botanical Garden to help the organization kick off its 2011 gardening season and launch his Edible Garden.

On April 12, 2011, Batali will be joined by Bronx schoolchildren to celebrate both the benefits of gardening and the 25th anniversary of the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden, a hands-on exhibit at the Botanical Garden that teaches gardening techniques.

Batali will prepare vegetable beds and plant seeds for his Edible Garden, an exhibit that runs for several months starting in August, featuring the celebrity chef’s favorite vegetables, cooking demonstrations from BataliĀ and recipes using plants from the garden.

Batali made one of his New Year’s resolutions for 2011 to “master more vegetarian dishes” that can be cooked as a team.
