The Barbi Twins New Book

The Barbi Twins have spoken out against the annual seal hunt in Canada.

The pin up sisters Shane and Sia have decided to boycott some parts of Canada over the issue.

Sia believes most Canadians are ashamed of the hunt and the sisters have expanded their activism by posting a Facebook page called Save a Seal, Join Club Barbie.

This year’s quota for the hunt is 388,200 — an increase of 50,000 from last year, according to the Edmonton Sun.

Mother-to-be Claudia Schiffer at the Elle Style Awards 2010 in London

Flexitarian Claudia Schiffer says she tries to eat more organic foods, a practice that started with her first child.

“During my first pregnancy, I started to eat organically and healthily because that was the first time I actually thought about what I was putting in my body,” she told Celebrity-Babies. “I’m still doing that today and I’m also just taking it easy, not working out too much, just enjoying this time in my life.”

Claudia is expecting her third child.

Claudia told Star Magazine that she tries to eat fruits and vegetables before noon and keeps her lunches with salads and vegetable based soups, saying “lots of meat” makes her tired.

Heidi Klum “Loved” And “Lavish”–Fur Real Or Fur Fake

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, February 11th, 2010 in Fur, Fur Real Or Fur Fake, Models.

Heidi Klum Makes Her Way To Television Appearance!

Heidi Klum was caught by the paparazzi on her way to a morning show appearance to discuss her new maternity line coming out this month, Lavish and Loved.

Supermodels have very little “insulation” to keep them warm, so it was understandable she had to wear this fuzzy looking jacket.

Sure hope that’s fake fur she’s wearing.

Being the mother of four children herself, one would think she’d have those “maternal” instincts and run far away from anything that harms any mother or child–like fur farms confining animals in cages and killing them inhumanely for fashion purposes only.

Zoom in on the pic and judge for yourself.

Is Heidi Klum fur real?

Or is she faking it?

Kate Moss Meat Free Monday Plans

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 in Flexitarian, Food & Drink, Models.

Kate Moss is a Longchamp Girl!

Once upon a time, many steaks ago, Kate Moss was rumored to be a vegetarian.

Now she hosts parties with fur rugs on the floor, but she might try to please one of her best vegetarian friends, Stella McCartney by going vegetarian again for one day a week.

The Sun reported a source said, “Kate has spent time catching up with Stella during Paris Fashion Week and finally agreed to support her friend by going without meat for a day each week.”

Kate’s been snacking on raw and other vegetarian food lately and is thinking of dining once of week with Stella to keep the Meat-Free Monday vow.

The buddy system is a great way to achieve goals like maintaining a regular exercise routine or quitting smoking.

Is a meat-free sponsor what everybody needs to take the plunge to help themselves, the animals and the environment?

“Celebrity Big Brother” Evicts Nicola–Nicola T Rebuilds Cow

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, January 28th, 2010 in Models, Not So Vegetarian, Reality TV.

Celebrity Big Brother - Fourth Eviction

Nicola Tappenden, otherwise known as Nicola T, was the seventh person to be evicted from the Big Brother House on the UK reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother.

Nicola didn’t go down without a fight–but based on one of the tasks she attempted, maybe she should have just surrendered from the minute the show started.

To win a message from her family, Nicola took on the disgusting challenge from the Tree of Temptation, which consisted of rebuilding a cow with that looked to be bloody flesh.

Nice try, but that still won’t make the heifer moo again.

Take a look at the pic, if you have a vomit bag nearby and decide for yourself if that’s real.

If that doesn’t make someone want to go vegetarian, what will?
