Meatless Mouthful–Steve-O Vegetarian Stamp Of Approval

“I feel in one sense very, very honored. But in another sense — this is pretty funny — my dad told me he didn’t care about any of the other people on the sheet of stamps, and he asked me if I could get a special sheet of just my stamp.”

Steve-O, who was featured in PETA’s limited edition set of postal stamps featuring famous vegetarian celebrities.

Bet Steve’s dad put a whole sheet of stamps on the fridge, where the comedian and actor who calls himself the “vegan nerd” stashes “almond milk, Gardein brand fake chicken breasts, and plenty of raw fruits and veggies.”

The New York Times‘ “Well” blog has featured a vegetarian Thanksgiving series, highlighting chefs, recipes and ideas that will help the meatless Thanksgiving cook prepare for the holidays.

Well kicked off its 2012 series with vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli, cookbook author known for winning the 2010 series of Cupcake Wars with her dairy-free, egg-free desserts.

Coscarelli gives hints for cooking vegan, plus several recipes.

Twilight star Christian Serratos has posed in a pro-vegetarian ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that says eating meat is like using your body as a cemetery for animals.

“Your body shouldn’t be a graveyard. Factory farms are hell for animals, and their death is slow and painful. Help animal by not eating them,” the “Respect Life: Go Vegetarian” ad reads.
