Mad Men‘s actor Jon Hamm and his partner Jennifer Westfeldt are no doubt a hot Hollywood couple who attend all the important red carpet events.

But at home, Westfeldt insists that at least one of the two leads nothing but a pretty boring life–at least in the kitchen.

Dan Piraro Celebrating 10,000th Vegan Cartoon

Dan Piraro is known for his humorous cartoons that illustrate vegetarian and animal welfare issues.

A vegan since 2002, he’s celebrating his 10,000th cartoon and is currently on his “Bizarro’s 10,00th anniversary tour,” doing an interview with media before each major stop, such as the one given to the Times Herald Online.

If  you’re still deciding on whether to spend your money on Piraro’s show or JLo’s, the cartoonist has a bit of advice.

With Earth Day around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about how diet affects the environment. According to PETA, raising animals for food is one of the “leading causes of climate change” and says there is an enormous waste of energy involved with “feeding, transporting, and slaughtering farmed animals and packaging, transporting, and storing their flesh.”

Soon vegetarians and vegans can have their strawberry frappucinos and smoothies sans insects.

Starbucks has announced that it will phase out the use of cochineal extract, an ingredient obtained from a female bug, and switch to lycopene, a plant-based coloring derived from tomatoes, for its strawberry flavored frappucinos and smoothies.
