Trey Parker has included a talk on DVD commentary on why he and Matt Stone chose to poke fun of Captain Paul Watson on a South Park episode titled Whale Whores.

If you can remember, the episode portrayed Watson and the Sea Shepherd crew in a less than positive light (is anyone portrayed positively on South Park?) and Parker says that although he and Stone are against whaling, they’re not cheering on Watson’s attempts.

“They come up with some big plan and then somehow they f*ck it up,” Parker says. Listen to how Parker explains, in his opinion, how.

The Beekman Boys on Planet Green TV stars two gay farmers, Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge, who sell organic goat soap and milk.

The Beekman Boys will tell you upfront they aren’t vegetarian, but feel better about raising their own food for consumption because they know how the animal was treated. Kilmer-Purcell and Ridge don’t follow this philosophy outside of home, however, as they told After Ellen:

“We have to coin a word for this, but we don’t eat meat that we haven’t raised ourselves or we don’t know that providence of, unless we’re invited to somebody’s house because we don’t want to be that kind of vegetarian.”

The cancellation of a screening in Tokyo of The Cove,  a documentary about killing whales in the island of Taiji, has resulted in a domino effect across cinemas in Japan.

Variety reports several cities have decided to opt out of showing the Oscar winning film in the country. Theatres in Sendai, Yamagata and Aomori have changed their minds on showing the documentary that was scheduled for screening later this month. And Tokyo’s Meiji University has also canceled the campus showing, saying it would interfere with classes.

Dolphin activist Ric O’Barry, who went along for the filming in Japan, has called the cancellations an “assault on democracy.”

NEW YORK - MAY 18: Actress Jane Lynch poses with cheerleaders during The Glee Cheerleaders exclusive performance at Fox's Upfront presentation at New York City Center on May 18, 2009 in New York City. (Photo by Amy Sussman/Getty Images for Fox)

Jane Lynch, who plays the cunning and caustic cheerleading coach on the Fox television series Glee, would rather beat the crap out of Vocal Adrenaline than an animal.

Her character, Sue Sylvester, had a few lines on the Mash Up episode that originally threatened Glee coach Will Schuester by letting him bond with a cat before ending its life.

Um, yeah, even if this is television, that doesn’t belong in any conversation.

“I’m not going to say that,” Lynch said of her lines. “I work for PETA. I can’t say kill the cat.”

The script was changed to reflect adopting an animal from a shelter and punching Schuester instead. Nice work!

“I’ll need to see the set list for sectionals, after all. I want them on my desk warm from the laminator at 5 p.m. If it is one minute late, I will go to the animal shelter and get you a kitty cat. I will let you fall in love with that kitty cat. And then on some dark, cold night, I will steal away into your home and punch you in the face.”
