“Basically, our mission is to start a huge movement to stop exposures to toxic environments throughout our lives,” Ally said to Mom Logic. “We try to make people rethink what they do in everyday life, like in their dorm. Just saying you want to be green isn’t enough. You have to get involved and do things actively. You have to change what you eat, what you do and what you buy.”

Celebrity stylist Chaz Dean was recently honored with an “Angel on the Path” award by the HollyRod Foundation, which provides support to those living with autism and Parkinson’s disease.

Dean is the creator of WEN hair products, a line touted to be free of animal ingredients, all natural and eco-friendly. Well, almost.

Although many of Dean’s products contain ingredients like plant extracts and do not contain sulfates, some of his products contains questionable items like propylene glycol and propylparaben, which have been suggested to cause skin irritation and be an endocrine disruptor, respectively.

Dean is involved with many charities besides HollyRod, including Best Friends Animal Society and Global Green.

He recently spoke with the Huffington Post about his work giving back.

We already know the kinds of stuff going into Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding guests (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) give her points for a green ceremony foodwise. But what about the facilities taking care of things going out?

True, it’s not the most pleasant thought to have, but UK Express is reporting the couple and family has rented several portable “loos” complete with hot water and stereo music. Hopefully, no one will be on the loo so long they can listen to one of those really long songs like American Pie or Purple Rain in its entirety.

Like many other aspects of home living, portable potties can be made green with a variety of options.

Pamela Anderson has called Janet Jackson “greedy” for agreeing to be the cover girl for Blackglama’s ad campaign, “What Becomes A Legend Most?”

Anderson told OUT magazine, “It’s disappointing. She has spoken out against fur before. I don’t know why some people stop listening to their heart. I guess some people get greedy, but it’s sad.”
