Jamie Oliver Cooks Vegan Meal For Sea Shepherd Crew

Jamie Oliver put his culinary skills to good use recently when he prepared a vegan meal for Captain Paul Watson and the rest of the Sea Shepherd crew while they stayed in London.

The Captain wrote on his Facebook page, “A very big thank-you to Chef Jamie Oliver for treating the entire crew of the Steve Irwin to a free vegan dinner at Jamie’s Italian restaurant at Canary Wharf last night.”

Of all the things Paula Deen is known for, vegetarian cooking is definitely not one of them.

But the Queen of cholesterol has managed to put together a refreshing pasta salad that doesn’t contain ham chunks and isn’t tossed with lard dressing.

Deen tosses in a plethora of vegetables in this bow-tie pasta salad–a trio of different peppers, onions and artichoke hearts.

Anthony Bourdain Calls Paula Deen Dangerous For Food Choices

Between his vegan hate speech and her butter and bacon cholesterol bombs, it seems like Paula Deen and Anthony Bourdain would be the best of friends.

But Bourdain has made some not so nice comments about some Food Network stars and Deen is on the naughty list for poisoning people’s arteries.

Food Network star Anne Burrell knows the Secrets of a Restaurant Chef lie in the chef’s ability to turn a dull, boring salad into a lively one with a variety of greens.

“I try to be surprising when I make salads,” Burrell said. “I love using less traditional greens, like escarole, which has a real bite to it and can stand up to other strong flavors. And I like to play with textures. One of my favorite salads is based on raw asparagus cut really thin so it’s super crisp but still tender.”

Top Chef season 4 and Top Chef All Stars season 8 competitor Dale Talde has teamed up with Annie Chun’s, Inc. to create several Pan-Asian recipes featuring the company’s products.

There are three signature recipes available, and one features a vegetarian dish made with Annie Chun’s Shiitake Soy Ginger Sauce and Soba Noodles with tofu steaks, snap peas and asparagus.
