Jamie Oliver Cooks Vegan Meal For Sea Shepherd Crew

Jamie Oliver put his culinary skills to good use recently when he prepared a vegan meal for Captain Paul Watson and the rest of the Sea Shepherd crew while they stayed in London.
The Captain wrote on his Facebook page, “A very big thank-you to Chef Jamie Oliver for treating the entire crew of the Steve Irwin to a free vegan dinner at Jamie’s Italian restaurant at Canary Wharf last night.”
Oliver’s Italian menu at Canary Wharf is not even close to vegetarian, but he has been a great omnivore ally in educating the public about the pitfalls of processed, mass-produced food, including meat.
His Food Revolution series enlightened parents and children on some of the unnatural ingredients that go into food and he helped Los Angeles schools remove sugar-filled flavored milk from the shelves and add soy to its list of vegetarian options.
