What exactly is Bibimbop?

The B-side version of Hanson‘s MMMbop?

Actually, it’s a Korean dish with Miso sauce, vegetables, rice, and tofu among other ingredients.

Laugh at Gwyneth as she tries to pronounce Bibimbop and grab the recipe after the jump (more…)

Ginnifer Goodwin Grabs A Vegan Vaute Couture Coat For Winter

The September Issue Los Angeles Special Screening

If you could pick any one celebrity to dress vegan, who would it be?

Obviously those fur wearing hags of Hollywood top the list.

Vegnews.com recently spoke to three vegan fashion designers, Inder Bedi of Matt & Nat, Elizabeth Olsen of OlsenHaus, and Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart of Vaute Couture on who they’d like to play dress up with.

Leanne of Vaute Couture answered:

“I adore Ginnifer Goodwin, and she has just reserved her own Vaute coat! This made my month. Next, I would flip to dress Ellen [DeGeneres]. To steal the immortal words of Sting, “Every little thing she does is magic.” For non-vegan celebrity, Audrey Hepburn is my all-time favorite.”

Inder would like to take his fashion stab at Natalie Portman and Madonna.

Emily Deschanel and Cameron Diaz are favorites for Olsen.

If you want to copy Ginnifer’s style, you can choose your very own Vaute coat online at vautecouture.com.

Pamela Anderson enjoyed some vegan pizza at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica recently.

Pamela’s probably taking the time to chill before her big eco fashion label debut, A*Muse, in New Zealand next week.

Contrary to what Olivia Munn says, vegan pizza doesn’t taste like poo and if you’re interested in doing pizza sans cheese, whether it’d be for health or ethical reasons, you just might find what you’re looking for at even a fast food restaurant.

Leaving the cheese off a Papa John’s for example, gives you a pizza with both the crust and sauce vegan.

Dominos has one of four crusts that are vegan, but is only available in select stores. It’s sauce is vegan too.

And Godfather’s pizza sauce and dough are vegan as well.

Jennifer Aniston at The Bounty movie set in Queens

Jennifer Aniston was snapped carrying this FEED bag while on the set of The Bounty.

The FEED bags were designed by the lovely Lauren Bush (niece of George W.), a lifelong vegetarian, environmentalist, and humanitarian.

Which is why we’re confused as to why the straps of the bag are made with leather. Maybe Lauren wasn’t aware of the materials when the bag was constructed. Or could she not be as strict with fashion and vegetarianism?

Lauren designed the bags to help support the UN World Food Program.

Pictured here, the FEED 2, will feed 2 school children in Kenya for 1 year when purchased.

Pamela Anderson has dinner at Nobu surrounded by photographers in Malibu

Although she’s currently gearing up to debut her fashion line, A*Muse, at New Zealand Fashion week, Pamela Anderson has expressed an interest in going to India and gracing the silver screen there.

“I’m really looking forward to coming to India,” Anderson said of her plans to travel. “And I’d also love to be in a Bollywood movie.”

“Indian men are hot! Especially the vegetarian ones. You know, nothing is hotter than compassion.”

Bollywood has its share of vegetarian stars, including Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, and Mallika Sherawat.

Gorgeous Pam would have no problem fitting in-beauty or dietwise.

Pamela Anderson Richie Rich “A*Muse”: New Zealand Fashion Week

Written by Vegetarian Star on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 in Actresses, Fashion.

Pamela Anderson is the surprise runway celebrity in Richie Richs Blondes Have More Fun Fall/Winter 2009 Fashion Collection

Pamela Anderson will debut her animal and eco friendly clothing line, A*Muse, during New Zealand Fashion Week, September 22-25.

The designs she collaborated with Richie Rich were originally set to debut at New York’s Fashion Week from September 10-17, but Pamela set her sights on New Zealand for its green reputation.

Rich, who designed the Heatherette label, explained in more detail.

“Pamela is such an advocate for Peta [People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals],” Rich said. “I love animals. We wanted to produce a range using as many globally friendly fabrics as we could, in the spirit of being good to the world. That is part of the reason we want to kick it off in New Zealand, which is so lush and green. It goes with the vibe we are feeling. At the same time the Kiwi scene is fun and the line is fun.”

Rich originally admitted it was hard for him not to use fur in the collection.

Hopefully, with the guidance of Pamela, Rich now sees how easy it is to be chic and caring.

Stella McCartney Shop Celebrates Fashion Night Out

Actress Kate Hudson hangs out at the Stella McCartney Store in NYC to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out, an evening meant to encourage shopping and pour money back into the economy.

The Stella McCartney store not only encouraged a sustainable economy, but sustainable eating as well.

A vegetarian food truck was on hand to provide meatless goodies and drinks to shoppers.

Think Kate enjoyed some vegetarian finger food?

And where is A-Rod, anyway? The K-Rod pact cannot be broken up for longer than, like, 10 minutes…

Redbook Magazine: Connie Britton, Alicia Silverstone Vegan Foodies

Written by Vegetarian Star on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 in Actresses, Food & Drink.

Two vegan food loving ladies are gracing the cover of the October issue of Redbook magazine, Alicia Silverstone and Connie Britton.

If Ashlee Simpson would start packing veggie ham and cheese on the set of Melrose Place, it’d be a trio.

Friday Night Lights principal and mother Britton told MTV.com she stays fit by eating vegan food.

“If I weren’t in this business, I think I would be aging differently,” Connie said. “I’m fortunate because, for whatever reason, I’ve never looked at myself as, ‘Oh, my gosh, I have to be the most beautiful.’ I’ve always worked from the inside out, not the outside in.”

We aren’t sure if Connie is a vegan or just knows the health value of incorporating these foods into her diet.

At any rate, great for her!

Animal-free foods are the best way to keep you looking beautiful inside and out.

The October issue of Redbook hits the stands September 22.
