Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences' Evening With Glee - Arrivals

There was a rumor going around not long ago that Glee star Chris Colfer put bacon bits in vegan co-star Lea Michele‘s salad.

Rest assured, they’re completely false.

Colfer told PR.com:

“No, I didn’t. I should have though. No, I was kidding. A tabloid actually posted an article about Lea, about how [she] eats nothing but pork and ribs and hamburgers and all that. She couldn’t have been more mortified because [she’s] a hardcore vegetarian. So I just wanted to post a Tweet at her expense. As funny as it does sound, I couldn’t. She probably would have gotten sick. But it is pretty funny to think about.”

Frontier, a manufacturer of organic spices, has a vegetarian bacon bit product available, Bac’ Uns, made from soy flour and other vegan spices.

The price is similar to what you’d pay for Frontiers other organic spices and reviews at an online vegan product store, Vegan Essentials are mostly positive.

Aiden Turner, who was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars , is spottted after making an appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly

Not only is Aiden Turner a hot, sexy male dancer and actor, he can cook too!

The eliminated Dancing with the Stars contestant told Buddy TV before he learned to do the Salsa, he was dicing Serrano peppers to make it from scratch.

When the All My Children actor made dinner for all of this season’s DWTS competitors, he made sure he whipped up a special meatless treat for the lovely Pamela Anderson.

“I hosted a dinner party for my fellow DWTS cast mates at the Andaz West Hollywood. It was so great to see them all again. I used to be a chef, so I cooked dinner for everyone at the hotel; even making sure that I made vegan food for Pamela. I’ve been a big fan of Pamela’s since Baywatch. She is a very busy lady and rarely goes out, but she promised that she’d make it and she did! I had a great time with everyone and it was a very special evening.”

Don’t know where Aiden learned to cook, but if you’re interested in improving your chef skills, take a look at a few of the vegetarian cooking schools and classes offered in the United States and England.

AMPTV's 9th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic

Peter Weller is the new star on the Fox science fiction television series Fringe, in which the FBI investigates a series of unexplained events around the world.

Weller’s character travels back in time in an attempt to save his wife from dying due to a mistake he’s made in the past.

Speaking of time travel, Weller would love to go and meet some figures from the past, including an emperor Weller says was vegetarian.

Weller told MovieWeb:

“I’d certainly like to go back and step on the Island of Elba and talk to Napoleon a second or go back and talk to Frederick II who was a great Emperor in the 1200’s who gave Jews and Muslim’s a whole lot of civil freedom and spoke Arabic and Hebrew and was a vegetarian and a poet.”

It’s hard to find any sources that discuss Frederick II’s diet.

Any history buffs care to enlighten?

Tobey Maguire Wanted To Be Chef

Written by Vegetarian Star on Monday, April 12th, 2010 in Actors, Food & Drink.

The Greatest Los Angeles Premiere

Spiderman could have taught you to make szechuan tofu.

Actor Tobey Maguire originally wanted to be a chef, according to his IMDB profile trivia.

His mom gave him $100 to take an acting class instead of home economics in high school and the rest is history.

Tobey might have been aspiring to walk in his father’s footsteps, as Vincent Maguire worked as a cook when he wasn’t busy with construction.

The world may not have lost a great chef after all, as one only has to look at another vegetarian thesbian, Alicia Silverstone, to see that actors and actresses can play many roles well, including the one of cookbook author.

The cooking community is ready for another vegetarian male chef to accompany Bryant Terry and Tal Ronnen, and “Spiderman Does Soba,” would sure make a hit with vegetarians and those who are health conscious.

The almost vegan Tobey once said, “It’s never really been that hard for me. I’ve never had any desire to eat meat. In fact, when I was a kid I would have a really difficult time eating meat at all. It had to be the perfect bite, with no fat or gristle or bone or anything like that.”
