Otarian, The Planet s Most Sustainable Restaurant - Bleecker Street Opening

Mary Kate Olsen and Ugly Betty‘s Mark Indelicato stepped into New York City’s Otarian restaurant recently to celebrate the grand opening.

“Otarian is a new global, quick-service restaurant and retail brand based on the principles of vegetarianism and its benefits to human health, the well being of all living creatures and the natural world,” said David M. Israni, Managing Director of Broad Street Development, about the restaurant in the heart of Greenwich Village that originated in Australia.

Otarian offers a selection of veggie burgers, pastas, wraps and soups with Indian themed flavors.

**UK AND USA USE ONLY** David Duchovny on the red carpet prior to the 15th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, held at the Shrine AuditoriumWow! Several big celebrities were spotted eating at vegan friendly A Voltre Sante restaurant recently, including David Duchovny, Matthew McConaughey, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Rumor has it David used to be a vegan and his now separated from wife Tea Leoni was too. But we’re quite surprised and pleased to learn Matthew and the Olsen twins made their way there as well.

Now, vegan friendly doesn’t mean completely vegan. But to hear the spokesperson for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the most infamous fur wearing twins at least stopping by to dine with the granola lovin’ seitan worshippers is a breath of fresh air.
