Martha Stewart recently featured Himala Salt from Sustainable Sourcing on The Martha Stewart Show, where she commended the Himalayan salt and organic peppercorns from the company.

The salt, available in fine grain, coarse grain, chunks, cubes, bricks and special gift packaging, has no added Iodine to it, but naturally trace amounts are preserved.

Sustainable Sourcing products, founded by Melissa Kushi, are created in an organic, wind powered facility that uses the greenest, natural chemicals to cleanse the facility–Dr. Bronner’s Certified Organic Gluten-Free Soap and a rinse of a hot water solution with Eden Foods’ Certified Organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

Sustainable Sourcing packages in eco friendly materials that are either 100% recyclable, refillable and reusable. In addition, 5% of profits go to environment organizations.

Lindsay Lohan Hides Her SCRAM Anklet As She Hits The Pool!

Lindsay Lohan has been rumored to be swapping alcohol for Kombucha tea since being slapped on the wrist, literally, with a SCRAM bracelet, a device that monitors her alcohol consumption, after a probation hearing about her 2nd DUI conviction.

When the words healthy and organic are slapped onto something a celebrity is consuming, the instinct is to instantly pick it up and pseudo experiment on yourself to see if it works. However, according to a Dr. on the Mayo Clinic’s website, you may be better off consuming heart healthy wine in moderation when you’re not driving than drinking Kombucha tea.

Several celebrity chefs are entering their sandwiches too, which you may vote on, to raise money for their favorite charities. There are several deliciously sounding vegetarian options included. For example, you may remember Lisa Adams, who created the vegetarian meal to honor Lisa Simpson on Top Chef Masters. She’s concocted a sesame eggplant in pita with peppers, walnuts and feta.

Byron Bay Bluesfest 2010 - Day 3

Jack Johnson calls himself a flexitarian because he will eat whatever is offered to him outside of home.

When in his own kitchen, however, Jack stays veggie and is fond of a traditional Hawaiian meal that’s wrapped in tea leaves.

From an article in the National Post titled What Is On Jack Johnson’s Menu:

“The thing I like to make, that I usually add to it is Lau Laus, which are a traditional luau meal, where you wrap something in a tea leaf. The traditional way is you do it underground in an imu which is the underground Hawaiian oven. We just use our oven usually for this, but you wrap it in a tea leaf. We do vegetarian ones – you can use fish – but I grow sweet potatoes and taro, or kalo, the Hawaiian word for it. Cut it all up and steam it inside the tea leaf. I like making that, and I grow carrots and onions, chop them all up and put them inside. It’s really good.”

Lauluas also traditionally use pork, so they make a great opportunity to experiment with faux  meats during the next Hawaiian party in your Texas backyard event.

His line of lipsticks, concealor and other cosmetics (including a set for men) are free of known toxic ingredients, not tested on animals and vegan. He even opted not to use animal hair in makeup brushes, stating, “a lot of women are allergic to animal hair brushes. They think it’s the makeup, but it’s the brush.”

Thank goodness for Drummond’s natural approach, because a non-toxic lipstick may be hard to find as an FDA study found lead, a neurotoxin, on 22 very popular brands of lip colors.

“People are really liking that all-natural niche. It’s something that people are recognizing, that you have to put good stuff in your body because it affects what you get out of your body.”

Tony Gonzalez, during an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on his protein powders, All-Pro-Science, one of which is completely vegan, sourcing protein from brown rice, pea and hemp.

Eh, maybe not everyone wants it as natural as Tony and his wife prefer it for this ad against fur, but yeah, you get the idea.
