A smorgasbord of celebrities are featured on Fox’s Green It/Mean It campaign.

Tip like using online bill pay to reduce paper and carrying reusable bags when you grocery shop are given by several stars including veggies Emily Deschanel, Omar Epps, Lisa Edelstein and Jenna Ushkowitz.

“Here on the set of House, we make every effort to recycle,” Lisa Edelstein says in the video.

Sandra Oh and Olivia Wilde are vegan TV doc goddesses.

Sandra has put the vegan magic spell on her Grey’s Anatomy castmates, taking them to vegan restaurants between show shoots.

Olivia  has grown tremendously in her diet preferences over the past year, going from pescetarian to completely vegan, and has the company of fellow veggie castmates Lisa Edelstein and Omar Epps.

ER has closed its final hospital room curtain, but Noah Wyle’s presence on the set for years most certainly helped the show become an Emmy award winning hit. One less hospital show on the air leaves one less vegetarian actor who portrays a doctor, but have no fear, Omar Epps still graces the screen on House. The veg room at Fox’s House is getting roomier now that Kal Penn (Dr. Kutner)has left for the White House. But Lisa Edelstein and Olivia Wilde are still holding down the fort, along with their male vegetarian counterpart, Omar Epps. Lisa Edelstein frequently makes veg dishes for her guests and claims they never miss the meat. Wilde will be eating more than one veggie burger, given the fact she can eat 33 pancakes in 20 minutes. So between the two House actresses, who would you rather do?

Spoiler alert. If you didn’t watch this week’s episode of House, you might not want to read this.

Resident Lawrence Kutner, played by Kal Penn, tragically killed himself. So why did the Fox network writers need to take Kutner out? That’s because Penn’s leaving to work at the White House!

Penn worked on the Obama campaign last year and was offered a job as associate director in the White House Office of Public Liaison (OPL). From tv.yahoo.com:

“Growing up I always had two interests and two passions, one being public service and the other being arts and acting, so it’s always been on my mind, I always try to engage in different public service projects, and in the last 18 months having had the opportunity to serve on the Obama campaign, I certainly started thinking about that possibility…”

“What they [OPL] try and do is take the administration itself out of Washington, so they go into communities across the country, continue the sorts of dialogue people had started during the campaign and basically ensure that a bunch of citizens’ views about their elected officials, about their government are all happening and that they’re working effectively.”

Pennsylvania Street is far from Hollywood and so is the pay rate. Although Penn won’t be bringing in movie star bucks, he’s excited and grateful for the opportunity. 

While this is wonderful news for Kal, it’s a little sad for House fans, especially considering there’s one less vegetarian on the show. Kal leaves behind Lisa Edelstein, Olivia Wilde, and Omar Epps to share a veggie pizza during long days on the set.

Kal played Kumar in Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. At the end, where Harold and Kumar ate White Castle burgers, Kal bit into veggie burgers instead.

Yet another celebrity hiding behind his tempeh, Omar Epps, the actor who plays Dr. Eric Foreman on “House” follows a vegetarian diet.

How is it we are just now finding out about this? Must be because he hasn’t gotten naked for PETA yet.

But how incredible it is to know both he and fellow “House” cast mate Lisa Edelstein both keep their houses meat-free.

Because there’s still a stereotype of vegetarianism and veganism being a “girlie” thing, it’s good to know the boys are getting proper respect.
